Real Ale at a PRICE

One of the very few real ale pubs in Bournemouth, with excellent ales on tap.The only gripe I have is the price, average £3.80 a pint I dont pay that in my favourite real ale pub in the City of Brum which has a larger selection. We did eat here and it was acceptable with small portions overall a... read more

Before going to Bournemouth I did some research on dog friendly pubs. This one came up so on our arrival after a 6 hour journey from Bury Lancashire we decided to 'give it a go'. What a find. Off the tourist track, very welcoming staff, a huge selection of real ales and a superb menu of home cooked food. There... More

Enjoy real ale and the pool table, crowd it attracts seems to be more mature (which makes a nice change in Bournemouth). Really let down by a certain fellow in there, he seems to 'accidently' short change me at least once (to the extent that he 'forgot' that I had given a £20 note over a £10). Felt uncomfortable in... Probably the best Real Ale pub in the Bournemouth Triangle area, but not a family pub. Didn't get to try any food, however just as a warning, there is a Very Strict Licence condition of NO under 18's which was disappointing as had our 16 year old daughter with us early evening and would have eaten here but for this.... This is an amazing combination. It seems like a locals pub, and there were obviously lots of locals there. It also had that local sort of atmosphere, with pub games. We played shove halfpenny, and draughts. But it is much more than that. For a start, it has the best selection of real ales I have ever seen, outside of... More

Looks small from the outside, but is very roomy inside. Food was delicious and there is a wide range of beers, ales and spirits.

We actually ended up here on the saturday also as we had our dog with us and they are extremely dog friendly. Lovely ales and i had a nice goat curry on the Saturday night.... More

We went to the Goat and the Tricycle to eat our 1st Sunday Roast in England, It was very tasty, the leat was exellent in a typical english pub. The service was a bit long but the most important is to have a good time ! I recommend you to go to this pub !
