A traditional old fashioned pub- which are very hard to find now a days especially in Bournemouth. Great tasty food with an impressive range and a nice variety of goat dishes! Pretty little courtyard outside. Pool table available Great range of beers and ale. Great if you want something homely and down to earth

I'd love to actually review this pub and tell you about our great meal there but we weren't able to stay long enough… Our hotel referred us to the pub, based on a flyer they had distributed to local hotels and we set off in search of a decent pub meal and pint of beer. Unfortunately, we had our 13... More

Used to live round the corner from this pub so wasnt my first time there but i hadnt visited for a good few years. Firstly really great traditional pub; it isnt a gastro pub or restaurant masquerading as a pub, its a pub fair and square. Traditional decor, best real ale selection in the area and always changing, friendly staff,... More

So many yummy beers to try !!! ( don't drive) Great staff - we had great service with lovely hot home cooked food. Looking forward to our next visit. I think it's the best we have found so far in the area, often visiting friends so will be back! Ask for advice on the beer if your unsure they will... More

We went on a Monday night for dinner in August 2014. We got a bit lost trying to find this place, but then that's because we were trying to use a mobile phone google map. On our way back , we realise it was much closer to the Durley dean hotel where we were staying . Anyway, my 24 yr... More

Lovely atmosphere in this traditional pub. Slightly off the beaten track. Found it as it was near our hotel. pleasant beer garden. Good choice of ales/beers. Food was reasonably priced & good quality, however I was disappointed with my meal.

Slightly off the beaten track a well stocked choice of ales and ciders and accommodating staff. Intriguing number of walking sticks attached to the ceiling and attractive bar with traditional pumps. We enjoyed the beer on tap and also the availability to take home any bottled beer in stock.

Great Food & Lovely Beer! A little off the beaten track but that just adds to the charm, always has a warm, welcome atmosphere. Always lots of guest real ales to try, so great for beer enthusiasts! It's also the only Pub I can think of that still has a Pool table! A Hidden Gem of a pub.

I reviewed The Goat and Tricycle about 18 months ago and said that we would be back if we were in Bournemouth again. And we did go back. Last time we visited it was winter - this time it was summer and very hot. We sat in the outside area which was very pleasant. It is a nice pub which... More
