This is a proper locals pub with a good friendly atmosphere. There was a large menu board of the beers and cider available, which was really helpful. The service was very good considering the place was packed, the only slightly disappointing aspect was the beer itself which was the main reason for visiting the pub, it was quite bland to... More

To have a pub like this so close to the centre of town. A good selection of ales, that taste like they have been looked after. Traditional cider, that is very nice I must add. Nice outside area. What else would you want?

When I can which is often like to pop in and read the daily echo and enjoy a pint or two always enjoy the pub and the staff are always good the new Land lady is trying to do it right so for a pint and a look though the local paper I enjoy the goat and tricycle.

We took the name of the pub out of the CAMRA guide and were not disappointed. At least 10 beers on offer, excellent service from staff and the food was definitely worth going back for. From Goat curry to hunters chicken and chicken pie - we ate there the three evenings we spent in Bournemouth, we felt if we had... More

Brought my husband here with friends for his birthday after seeing the reviews on Trip Adviser. 7 Real Ales were very impressive. When we sat at our table, I was a little worried as the table was very sticky and so were the menus. The food was basic but well cooked and there was a good atmosphere. The Pub was... More

A traditional old fashioned pub- which are very hard to find now a days especially in Bournemouth. Great tasty food with an impressive range and a nice variety of goat dishes! Pretty little courtyard outside. Pool table available Great range of beers and ale. Great if you want something homely and down to earth

I'd love to actually review this pub and tell you about our great meal there but we weren't able to stay long enough… Our hotel referred us to the pub, based on a flyer they had distributed to local hotels and we set off in search of a decent pub meal and pint of beer. Unfortunately, we had our 13... More

Used to live round the corner from this pub so wasnt my first time there but i hadnt visited for a good few years. Firstly really great traditional pub; it isnt a gastro pub or restaurant masquerading as a pub, its a pub fair and square. Traditional decor, best real ale selection in the area and always changing, friendly staff,... More

So many yummy beers to try !!! ( don't drive) Great staff - we had great service with lovely hot home cooked food. Looking forward to our next visit. I think it's the best we have found so far in the area, often visiting friends so will be back! Ask for advice on the beer if your unsure they will... More
