We have been in South Devon for a week's break and have visited Vintage Tea twice. The food is delicious, very well prepared and presented. The portions are generous and the flavours beautiful. The decor is first class throughout, restrained and well presented. On both days we stopped in for lunch, I had the manuka honey smoked salmon with dill... More

Went here with my daughter & 4yr old granddaughter. The place is lovely bright & spotlessly clean. The cream tea was superb with a choice of scones & a great variety of teas to choose from. They also had ice cream for my granddaughter which she loved. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Well worth a visit.

We popped in here for a Cream tea but ended up having cake and coffee (& Prosecco) instead. We had the Victoria Sponge & Rich Chocolate cake which were lovely and fresh. There is a lovely bright tea room through the back. The only improvement could have been somewhere to sit outside...maybe you can't have it all.

What a pleasant change to find a speciality old fashioned tea room. Not a fan of coffee it was a real treat to enjoy real tea from gorgeous bone china - it felt very elegant. Wonderful home made cakes - a word of advice - unless you have a huge apetite - I recommend you share a slice with someone.... More

I love my coffee !! But occasionally a cup of Earl Grey is a welcome change ... The appeal of this tea house called us in .... Beautifully presented and furnished friendly and pleasant staff couldn't fault a thing BUT something more is needed as it all felt a little 'false' couldn't put our finger on what ...but having enjoyed... The tearoom looks fabulous, the tables were laid out beautifully with vintage china and the chairs were very comfy Lloyd Loom. The delicious smell of the scones was matched by their taste and there was ample cream and jam with the Devon afternoon tea. However, the tea room was almost empty with only one other customer, but staff seemed rushed... More

This tea shop is tasteful. It is clean and spacious, the quality is good and service good too. It has class and unlike the other tea rooms we saw in Totnes, it was spacious and not packed, so we were able to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and a beautiful cream tea.

Have just returned from Totnes where I enjoyed a sumptuous afternoon tea. I chose Sharpham Brie and red grape sandwiches, a plain scone which came with a Devon made strawberry jam packed with fruit and thick clotted cream. Gorgeous loose leaf Earl Grey tea and extra fancy little cakes too. All served on vintage china plates, cups and saucers and... More

Very pleasant surroundings, reasonably priced. Cream teas and the afternoon tea is must. The staff are friendly and helpful. What a way to go back in time, and spend a relaxing afternoon There is no rush for your table. The cafe is well kept. It is very busy most times but you tend not to notice, which gives a good vibe... This is an upmarket café where apparently you can book a table for a cup of coffee! We hadn't booked but were able to be seated towards the front of the 'shop'. There was a choice of coffees I.e. Rich or Smooth or Decaff - excellent, but when it came the rather ditzy waitress didn't know which was which as... More
