A tall order from Vintage Tea Rooms as we were a party of 16 +. We had booked and pre-ordered our afternoon teas though. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Lovely atmosphere and the Tea Room itself is beautifully and tastefully decorated. However, from the position where I was sitting I could see directly behind the bar area, there were... More

It was a very hot day when we visited Totnes and we were really pleased to find Vintage Tea, which is an air-conditioned (!), serving first class food. We can recommend the poached salmon and dill sandwiches and the ploughman's lunch. In addition to tea, they also serve wine from the local vineyard, which was also excellent. The service was... More

Excellent cream teas, cake (orange and almond). Excellent service. Calm and fresh interior décor. Loved it and will be back again!

Prior to our visit to Totnes we had been given the name of a cafe which was highly recommended to us, sadly when we got there it had closed due to the owner's ill health. After wandering around Totnes we soon became aware that there was 20 or more cafes in the town (catering for a range of tastes) !!!... More

My partner and I enjoyed a beautiful afternoon tea here. The food was lovely, sandwiches were fresh and the scones were still warm. The place itself is very nice and well presented. The only thing that needs improvement is the service, which wasn't particularly speedy and lacked a smile. Luckily the food made up for it.

Popped in here to buy some cakes. The shop looked amazing, but the lady that greeted us looked annoyed and put out by our presence. We weren't staying for tea so can't comment on that or the service, but the younger lady who served our cakes was lovely and cheery. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for the cakes we... More

We have been in South Devon for a week's break and have visited Vintage Tea twice. The food is delicious, very well prepared and presented. The portions are generous and the flavours beautiful. The decor is first class throughout, restrained and well presented. On both days we stopped in for lunch, I had the manuka honey smoked salmon with dill... More

Went here with my daughter & 4yr old granddaughter. The place is lovely bright & spotlessly clean. The cream tea was superb with a choice of scones & a great variety of teas to choose from. They also had ice cream for my granddaughter which she loved. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Well worth a visit.

We popped in here for a Cream tea but ended up having cake and coffee (& Prosecco) instead. We had the Victoria Sponge & Rich Chocolate cake which were lovely and fresh. There is a lovely bright tea room through the back. The only improvement could have been somewhere to sit outside...maybe you can't have it all.
