Well I do believe this to be the first time I have been reluctant to write a review for fear of making the business too popular, and therefore difficult to obtain a table. but in fairness to the unaware will let you into the secret of the best tea shop in Devon never mind just Totnes. First impression clean light... More

What a delight. It takes you back to a bygone age of refined dining. We only spent a short period here but we will definitely be back.

I booked the Vintage Tea Rooms for my mum's birthday. About 10 of us had various different things from simple teas and cakes to local ciders and pink lemonade to ploumans lunches. We all could not fault a thing. The staff are lovely and cater well for everyone. Nothing was too much for them. All the food was fresh. Great... More

Gorgeous place, lovely relaxed atmosphere. They've got every detail spot on. Excellent service. Instantly relaxing. I loved the 'no mobiles' rule, more places should follow this example. Only one thing that was a slight negative & that was lack of baby changing space, I had to change her on bathroom floor, however this was a very clean & well maintained... More

It is not often we have an afternoon tea but we were in Devon and after having a full English breakfast at the Ring O Bells and looking forward to dinner at the Nobody Inn we were tempted by Vintage Tea on the main street in Totnes, the Trip Advisor award card displayed in the window tempted us inside. The... More

I only intended to have a quick coffee....... Then I spotted a succulent Victoria sponge..... Then I also spotted a lady twirling a chocolate stick in steaming milk....! That did it! Quick coffee turned into Belgian hot chocolate, accompanied by Huge slice of Victoria sponge, filled with homemade conserve, topped with butter cream and decorated with fresh raspberries and blue... We visited as a family for our grandma's birthday treat and all had 'high tea '. We found the surroundings relaxing and the staff friendly and helpful. The tea was lovely and our grandma appreciated the china cups! We really enjoyed all the food, particularly the salmon and dill mayonnaise sandwiches and the warm scones. I thought it was very... This was our first visit to this tea room, It was very busy so we had a table in the main shop area. First impressions on looking at the menu was that it was pricey! However, we ordered a cream tea as a 'special' event, pot of tea and a cafetierre of coffee. We were not disappointed. Two super homemade... More

We were searching for somewhere nice to have a cream tea and Vintage Tea seemed like the perfect place. It got gradually busier as we finished our cream tea and cakes. The decor, china and food was great, definitely something we'd go back for. We also saw the people next to us eating the afternoon tea which looked delicious and... More
