Wonderful scrumptious home made cakes and refreshing tea.

The cream tea was to die for. Soft delicious scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam. The tea was excellent. Service was with a smile. A truly wonderful tea break.

This is a delightful place to drop in for tea or coffee and cake. They nearly always have a gluten free option. Wonderful for a bit of nostalgia. Pretty teacups and an interesting range of different teas to choose from. We loved it.

A must-visit experience in Totnes. This is a lovely Georgian-style teashop. The whole teashop is situated under a glass roof, which is just delightful. The tables are laid with mis-matching but gorgeous china cups, each one a delight. The range of cakes is exquisite. This is just a posh, lovely experience for anyone who would really rather be in a... More

This is not your average tea shop. It doesn't set out to be the cheapest but for the high quality decor, the excellent food and the choice and quality of tea we received it's actually in our view a bargain. Very good staff too and the mobile phone free area is a good move.

What a lovely surprise to stumble upon this tearoom. Beautifully decorated, proper old-english tearoom. Very clean, lovely sandwiches, heavenly freshly baked scones, petit fours and a very wide selection of teas. Seeing a couple of reviews about "unfriendly hostess" made me smile as that would be my only criticism too. I was thinking the hostess must surely be the owner... More

Visiting the area and found the best tea room ever! I work in London so often take colleagues and family to the Ritz, The Landmark and others.... This place has the best scones I have ever tasted. Setting is beautiful with proper China cups and a stylistic atmosphere to take you back in time. Afternoon tea for two, Devon cream... More

Stopped for lunch when visiting Totnes for the day. Very pleasant surroundings and good service. Food excellent, especially the savoury tartlet. Highly recommended.

The woman on main reception by the till was probably having a bad day but was discourteously blunt to me on arrival. The unwelcoming behaviour continued throughout the visit with communication held by a display of shoulder shrugging and an episode of hard of hearing to a customer’s order. Hospitality was not much apparent here. The menu describes Afternoon tea... More
