Great setting, generally good food

We visited here twice last week. Sunday Lunch was disappointing and overpriced, we were told when ordering that they were running out of certain vegetables and that it would be made up with others; I wouldn't consider what we received was adequate for the price paid. Please also be aware that on... read more

Went with my family and we had good pub food served quickly. Had the Cajun chicken.... Very good but was spicy. Service was good. Would certainly go back again

Decent food, staff friendly with the kids. It was 'good' but not 'very good'. Tasty veggie lasagna not just filled with peas and carrots!

Cheaper than the nearest pub down the road, which I've also reviewed, we went here twice and was not disappointed. Lovely Duck Stirfry, good kids menu and amazing ribs. Recommended!

We went as a family of four, with two children aged 11 and 12. We ordered the lasagne, cajun chicken (asked for roasted new potatoes rather than chips, and no onion on the salad) and for the children sausages and a beef burger from the children's menu. All of the food was sub-standard and not one of the waitresses who... More

An idyllic position in a beautiful part of the South Hams. So much more could be made of this place, in fact it was years ago...... The pub garden used to win awards, but I don't think it would now, and the inside décor is tired and dusty, sorry cleaning staff but it is. The breakfast room needs a jolly... More

Our stay was for two nights b&b in a superior double. Knowing it had changed hands since our previous visit we were apprehensive. However we will have no difficulty in booking again. It was a superb stay. Meals are good value well served and lovely atmosphere in the bar and breakfast room. The pub is in an excellent spot for... More

Tasty Sunday Roast, sat outside next to the stream, our kids loved paddling around And kept amused! Attentive staff, and good service and value for money.
