Fine teas and service

Lovely little tea room, rose petal tea is fabulous after wandering around the shops. Bit hot but would no doubt be lovely come winter. Great service too.

Visited Greys yesterday, my second visit, and it was still as perfect as the first time. It really is a charming old fashioned tea shoppe, but with the most delicious cream tea (scones literally melt in the mouth!) and famously blended tea, served in bone china and with silver tea service… a real treat! Many more homemade cakes and tea... More

Have been here numerous times since it opened in 1991. Always a pleasure. Particularly nice today because it was quieter than in the summer. Long may it continue.

From the moment we walked into this tea room we felt unwelcome. No smiles or greetings. A very sullen attitude from the owner. Stood gossiping with staff member beside us whilst we drank and ate. After the coffee and cake, we were ignored by the said owner as he hovered by our table apparently waiting for us to leave to... More

Greys is fascinating - giving the impression that you are having a fantastic selection of teas and truly superb cakes and scones in an antique shop. It brings a real old fashioned ambience to the experience - you feel as though ladies should be wearing a hat, gloves and a tea dress and men a suit amd tie. I wonder... More

Well worth walking to the top of the hill to visit this brilliant tea shop. Real tea (leaves not bags) served in beautiful china crockery. Excellent cakes and snacks.

This little gem sits on the top end of the main street, up a fairly steep hill so you will be needing a nice cuppa and big slice of cake when you get here. The place is little, cramped and serves as a tearoom as well as an antique shop. Full of little knick knacks and the tea is served... More

If you have the time and energy to walk up the hill to the top of High St. you come to Greys,It is an Olde English tea shoppe, fine bone china, cake stands, a limited but satisfying menu, the usual scones and cream are available, baked on the premises and as good as you will find anywhere. Its a small... More
