Average food after a long wait

Came here for a friends birthday, nice atmosphere and vibrant decor. We had nachos to share as a starter which were good, then after another hour wait we were presented with our, not so appealing meals. We had the enchiladas which were ok, as well as a pile of sloppy mushy beans, as well as what... read more

Dined here on Saturday night, didnt book until the same afternoon so got one of the tables you would prefer not to have. Spent a lot of the evening with people squeezing by. My girlfriend had a combination plate with loads of different flavours and I ordered the mexican meatballs with pasta but it came with rice instead! We had... More

Being a Mexican lover, I was really looking forward to a meal here and have never heard anything bad about this place. Seeing as it is a Mexican restaurant I expected the guacamole to be good quality or even homemade, but instead I found it to be purée like, and was just splatted on my plate along with the salsa... We always visit Jingles for our anniversary in early January and it never disappoints. Wide variety on the menu, something to please even the fussy husband! I usually phone ahead and pre-order Seafood Quesadillas as I really enjoy them. Portions are huge, we always share a starter and then wish we hadn't! Good service and reasonably priced. We love it!

I went to Jingles in Torquay this weekend for a family party. Having garnered the opinions of my local friends my expectations were relatively low. "Overpriced and underwhelming" was the general consensus. Nonetheless, I am a big fan of Mexican cuisine so I was quite looking forward to seeing what it was like. "How bad could it be?", I thought...... More

WOW! Me and the other half got a Chimichanga and a Chicken Gordita, both tasty, they weren't shy with the guac, salsa and sour cream either, the refried beans were the best a've had and the portions were huge! Its not haute cuisine, but it was yummy and hearty so can't complain.

This is a 'Mexican' styled restaurant with all the usual stuff (chimichangas, tacos, chillies, enchiladas, burritos etc). Until now it's been the only game in town if it's a Mexican meal that tickles your fancy. We had dinner there recently and the food was OK. Not great just OK. Nothing especially wrong with it but given that 3 main courses... More

This is a tiny little place that does mexican food. It was really busy but they fitted us in on a saturday. The place was spotless and warm. The staff were attentive and the service was good. My food was lovely but my husband's prawns were a bit rubbery. Worth a visit
