This is a great pub on the seafront. It was such a shame that it was awful weather, as the views would have been amazing over the bay. We stopped here for a few drinks and a bite to eat before the football. An excellent pint is served in this watering hole. My husband got a plate of cheesy chips;... More

We booked in advance for Mother's Day and so glad we did! The table was ready and waiting for us,the staff were friendly and polite. We ordered straight away, the food only took about 15 minutes to arrive. The meat arrived on a plate with the Yorkshire pudding, stuffing and roast potatoes. Then a side dish with carrot and parsnip mash, cauliflower cheese... More

After an impromptu decision to go out for a meal on Mother's Day, our usual choice for a carvery was full, so we decided to try this. Very pleased we did. The service was efficient and polite - when we said we were eating, we were told the kitchen was closing and we should order straight away. We quickly chose... More

We popped in here for a light lunch whilst on holiday in the area. We ordered the soup without looking at the menu (wish I had, as there were some very tempting meals there!!) I have to say that my pea and ham soup served with a warm baguette was the nicest that I have ever tasted. The only downside... More

i cannot praise this venue enough - great food great beer and a fantastic location. Staff were exceptional and as football fans wearing our colours we were treated no differently than locals or folk on holiday. My favorite away day pub

Four of us decided that we wanted a change from all the festive food and back to reality so we chose the Buccaneer at Babbacombe and were not disappointed. we took our choice from the extensive menu and we all enjoyed the lovely and well presented meals.

Occasionally meander up to Babbacombe downs for a drink and the Buccaneer is a must. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and there is always a pleasant atmosphere. We visited last Saturday and tried the food menu for the fist time. I have to say how pleasantly surprised we all were with the quality of the food and how... More

Whilst staying in the sefton hotel we nipped to this pub to get some lunch (fancied a decent pub burger) and to watch the Southampton vs Chelsea game and we were impressed with the selection available (not by the football or the result!). Went for the peanut satay chicken burger which was pretty nice and generous in portion size. My... More
