We were in Torquay for a couple of days and stayed at the Victoria Hotel. The tea room is in walking distance from our hotel and nicely placed a few minutes walk from the sea front. We had cream teas which were absloutely delicious and the children had honeycomb cheese cake and hot chocolates with whipped cream. A truly pleasurable... More

Good menu with extensive choice. Cream tea was a real treat with lovely fresh scones and clotted cream. A must when staying in Torquay.

This was our first visit to Torquay and, staying at the Premier Inn, the Singing Kettle was ideally situated next door. We were only in Torquay for a week, but we were so pleased with the quality of the food and the service, we went for breakfast there on 3 occasions. The food was quick to arrive and the staff... I loved this restaurant and we came 3 times while on our holiday. As someone who follows a gluten free diet I found their extensive gluten free menu a breath of fresh air as they are usually so hard to come by! The food was delicious (I recommend the gluten free afternoon tea) and the staff were so kind and... More

I called in to The Singing Kettle on Monday after seeing it on The Fixer. I ordered Farmers Tea which consisted of two freshly cooked cheese scones,a pot of chutney and a pot of cream cheese and upgraded my drink to a hot chocolate which came with a chocolate flake on the side for £4.90. I thoroughly enjoyed the food... More

Recently revisited the area and thought we would have a coffee and cake, we had seen Alex had visited and tried to help so we gave them a go. Its was 11.00 am on a Monday. No other customers we ordered coffee and a piece of Victoria sandwich each. Service very good although the young lady looked in pain, coffee... More

This is the second time we visited this team room. We drove for 2 hours just to go for a cream tea! Whilst it was very nice we felt the portion sizes had gone down and felt like they where on a bit of a cost cutting exercise compared to our last visit. That said, we are visiting Torquay again...
