I called in to The Singing Kettle on Monday after seeing it on The Fixer. I ordered Farmers Tea which consisted of two freshly cooked cheese scones,a pot of chutney and a pot of cream cheese and upgraded my drink to a hot chocolate which came with a chocolate flake on the side for £4.90. I thoroughly enjoyed the food... More

Recently revisited the area and thought we would have a coffee and cake, we had seen Alex had visited and tried to help so we gave them a go. Its was 11.00 am on a Monday. No other customers we ordered coffee and a piece of Victoria sandwich each. Service very good although the young lady looked in pain, coffee... More

This is the second time we visited this team room. We drove for 2 hours just to go for a cream tea! Whilst it was very nice we felt the portion sizes had gone down and felt like they where on a bit of a cost cutting exercise compared to our last visit. That said, we are visiting Torquay again... A group of 6 of us visited, ordered food and drinks, it came our in 3 hits with long delay in between. The situation was saved by the young waitress who noticed what had happened and arranged drinks for us. The preparation is in strict sequence but takes too long for what was a few rounds of sandwiches.

I spent just 24 hours in Torquay last August with my son, a stop off during our long journey home from holidaying in Devon. My son chose this place after spotting egg & chips on the menu, welcomed comfort food! We're both very picky about our eggs but these were to perfection as was my much needed cup of tea... More

Visited the Singing Kettle after seeing it on The Fixer and pleased we did. Both opting for a Soprano Tea, we were eager to try the home made scones. They were delicious as was the Sandwiches. Just what we wanted. One tea one coffee, the tea is loose leaf which was very much appreciated although came with a second pot... More
