I dont understand the batter chips thing, on trying a sample it just resembled a frozen chip. like Aunt Bessies or similiar, a taste you would associate with a typical supermarket chip, i prefer traditional fish and chips , nice soft crisp Maris Piper potato, the Fish looked good,.... friendly staff... but i fled the establishment in pursuit of what... More

Thursday 6.15 PM 26th I'm sorry to say the worse fish and chips sooooo greasy . batter on chips and uncooked batter on fish drove from torquey town town centre as went through recommendation on review of trip adviser website the place need an update review urgently .

There are lots of different types of chips in the world... Fat chips... thin chips... fries... curly and straight... pomme frites... potato chips... casino chips and chips off the old block. I'm not saying there aren't better chips out there but let me be clear: Paul's Plaice, Barton Hill Road, Torquay, Devon, England does, in mon op-in-ion, the best fish... More

This shop should update it's website. It says it's open on Sundays and I travel to it. Shut!!! I can't therefore comment on current standards as I couldn't get in.

I recommend these fish a chips to everyone I know they are the best quality, size and value for money, I have never had a bad meal and will always buy from here. The staff are very friendly and even though I live in Teignmouth 30 mins round trip would never go anywhere els, well done keep up the good... More

The chips were tasty but super greasy the fish was bland. Used to be so good. Shame its gone this way.

The best chips I've ever had ! I had a pea fritter and that was great. Husband had fish and chips and he loved his too. We will definitely be back !

Best chippie, hence the queue is always out the door. Always good food, service is fine and I always recommend and will be back soon :-)

we always go to pauls plaice when we come here on hols but this week we was not happy at all with the chips they werent up to standard
