Great chips but fish variable; but it's a strange month for catches.

This is probably our nearest fish and chip shop and the one thing they do really well is the chips! Rather than plain chips they are dipped in a light batter and one gets this crunchy outer skin on the chips which we really like. (Never mind the extra calories or the fat content). However we've... read more

We visited 12th Jan 2015 afternoon, NOT GOOD.. What the hell are the chips cooked in,they were orange covered in some sort of batter? The tast is terrible, hard to bite into, won't be going back ever.AVOID AT ALL COST.

This chippie is, in my opinion, the best ever, it is my local and I have been buying fish and chips from there for years! Never a let down, always piping hot and well cooked. The staff are friendly and there is often a bit of banter with customers as we wait for fresh cooked fish and chips or pies... More

The best fish and chips shop in Torquay I reckon. The portions are huge! Very friendly staff too. The choices are the same as any other fish and chip shop but their chips is fab and their fish is absolutely scrumptous!

Pauls Plaice Chips are by far the best fish and chip shop I have ever been to. They have great customer service and their portion sizes are very big for the little money you pay.

We have gone to Paul's Plaice ever since we moved here 18 years ago. It's the best fish and chip shop in the bay. All the locals go there and nothing is too much trouble. The friendly staff are amazing and cater for your every need.
