Fabulous food

We had a family meal here just before they closed for the month. The service was excellent and the food absolutely delicious. They even made my 4yr old granddaughter a cocktail (non alcoholic of course! ). We look fwd to returning to sample other delights on the menu

A friend and I who were alone for Christmas Day decided to eat out. At £80 per head it was one of the dearest in the area. Sadly it didn't live up to our view that it would be great. First we were seated in a corner and asked to be moved to one of the bigger empty tables. The... More

We live near London and are lucky enough to experience some London goodies..... Our friend's from Devon told us this was a sell out restaurant so we booked in advance. There were 15 of us and we had to preorder our food but it was the weekend before Xmas so we sort of expected this.... Menu was excellent but perhaps... More

We dined at the Harbour Kitchen restaurant in Torquay last night and had a fantastic meal. The flavours and textures were excellent as was the service. It was a very busy night, but the staff were most attentive and looked after us well. We had the six course taster menu which was mainly seafood, it was not cheap, but it... More

Wow - again - what an excellent meal! I had a salmon starter, bream main course, and a lemon meringue mousse for dessert. All were absolutely delicious, and were accompanied by some excellent drinks including a very tasty Christmas Cocktail. I would happily have eaten several dishes on the menu - in fact I am returning next week to try... More

Booking by telephone made you confidant, welcome could not have been friendlier, lovely table upstairs looking over the harbour as promised. Great food, beautifully served. Enjoyed by all four of us. Only criticism was small amount of cheese and quality of the port (but that's personal), lovely idea with presentation.

We came here on a Saturday lunchtime. We had a drink in the bar before going upstairs to the restaurant. The food was very good with a twist being applied to old favourites. I thought the menu was innovative and well thought out. I was very impressed with this new restaurant and will definitely be returning.

Yesterday we decided to go for lunch and booked through their website. On arrival, at 12.45, all was quiet with just one other table of 3 being occupied. We secured out first drinks by calling back the waitress (never like to wait for the first drink). Then a local acoustic guitarist rocked up and began to play, this gave a... More

Had a lovely relaxing evening - great food, service & ambiance. The lobster was perfect! And we really enjoyed the creative desserts. We sat in a window table upstairs - and realised why Torquay is called the English Riviera. And this restaurant seems to be part of a move to make Torquay more contemporary.... it is working!
