Just returned from lunch at this old pub. There were 3 in our party including a very elderly lady who has mobility problems. Just could not fault either the welcome, level of service, ambiance or ( most important !) the food. Really good portions and delicious tasting food. The lady we were with had prior to coming been feeling very upset and... More

Went as a party of 4 adults and one young child for a light lunch on NYE. Delicious soup and Ploughmans generous portions. Clean highchair provided for our child. Welcoming atmosphere and lovely light airy dining area. Only downside nowhere to change childs nappy.

We had Sunday lunch at the The Thatched Tavern, and the food was excellent. Very nice, well home cooked food. All the staff were very friendly, helpful and polite. We would highly recommend this as a place to visit, and we will be returning when next in Devon.

A very attractive thatched pub on multi levels with lots of space. Good menu choice but the real highlight are the homemade pies. Really delicious, well filled with tasty ingredients ( I had the game pie ) with plenty of side veg. And for £7.95 at lunchtime an absolute bargain. Great Badger beers. Close to Coast path and a little... More
