During a short break in Torquay we were recommended this place by one of the locals as a good place to have lunch. Situated on the harbour close to the Harvester & Harbourmasters building. Lots of outside seating if the weather is fine & some inside seating also. Please note that you must place... read more

We enjoyed a walk around Torquay's picturesque harbour yesterday, ending up at Below Decks for bacon baps and paninis and coffee. Below Decks is in an enviable position and that is really why we go there, for the view out over the harbour - there is both indoor and outdoor seating. The food is OK-ish, could be better. Nothing to... More

Popped to the harbour side Torquay for some breakfast over looking the boats and coastline. Few changes made to our orders, which can usually be a problem. Lovely ingredients and cooked well. Didn't wait too long for our food. Would recommend

Stopped for lunch and felt it was over priced for what it was. Jacket potato sizes were ok but very skimpy on the fillings. The nachos portion went to the other extreme and was huge. A smaller portion would have been much better

Nice place with lovely view of harbour, comfy seating with blankets supplied. That was a nice touch. Let down by far too expensive food. 2 tiny crab cakes (about 4 bites in all)on a tiny bed of salad leaves £7.95. Tasty crab cakes but why not supply some chips with it. Or even some tomatoes, cucumber and coleslaw with the... More

Party of ten, and we booked in advance, no one else there and the waitress insisted on us going to the til to order food and drinks. We were told there were only three fish and chips available, then someone came out and said there were 6!! Turns out there were only 3 so some adults went without, menu very... More

This restaurant has tables on a pier alongside the Harbour in Torquay where you can sit outside on a sunny evening and watch the boats come & go. Order at the bar and pick up your drinks. The food gets delivered a short time later. Simple stuff like a bowl of Calamari, fish & chips or a pizza. All well... More

A walk by Torquay harbour was complemented today by a visit to Below Decks for breakfast. Accompanied by son and grandson I enjoyed a 'full English' (while husband had scrambled eggs and son, like me, had 'full English.') What can I say? A perfectly decent breakfast, not superb but enjoyable (the white bread toast was very pale - some might... More

It is worth finding this little bistro cum bar cum cafe, nesting under Living Coast in the outer harbour. The views are beautiful and interesting, the food limited but delicious, more snacky than full menu but nothing wrong in that. Well worth the visit.
