Had a very enjoyable meal here on Friday evening. We were on holiday in Torquay and only saw the Peppercorn when we were driving past. We had a meal deal - 2 courses for £9.95 and the food was delicious. Would recommend this restaurant as it made a real change from all the "chain" restaurants but at their prices.

We went out for a meal on the Thursday after New Year and visited Peppercorns in Babbacombe. The food was excellent along with the service. Put simply the food is stunning!! A few of the negative reviews on here comment on; a mat in the doorway, it's opposite a laundrette, the cork mats were worn,the cutlery wasn't great etc. When you read these you know that these people go out of their way to be negative on anything!! This was our 5th visit to La Provence and we can honestly say that the food gets better and better. The service is efficient and discreet and very friendly. Cannot be beaten for value for money. Highly recommend.

Loved it all, food, was excellent and very good value for money. Chef came to talk to us and chatted for half an hour. Went back the next night as well.

Having lived in Babbacombe for years we have been visiting this excellent little restaurant for a long time. We have celebrated many birthdays and anniverseries there. Becky and Ken make you feel very welcome and the food is second to none. We have moved away from Torquay now but still make the journey back to enjoy the company and cuisine.... More
