Had a very lovely tea and cakes here on a damp Tuesday afternoon. The cakes were lovely and moist and delicious and the choice of proper leaf teas was perfect. Very pleasant indeed. I thoroughly recommend for the most tasty afternoon teas. They do a very good lunch as well which on the menu looked really exciting to eat.

The food is really great and fresh. They even had some gluten free cakes which were amazing. The service was welcoming. It was a really relaxing place to have a spot of lunch. Well worth a visit!

Went to Serendipity to meet a friend. Was really looking forward to it as went when it first opened and the cakes were lovely but thought we would try a snack today and had a tuna and may sandwich and chunky chips. So disappointed. The sandwich was tasteless and the chips were not chunky and the fat used to cook... More

Went in today for a tea and cake, the black forest gateaux is amazing! The man behind to counter was very friendly and happy to chat to me and a friend. Deffo will be going back!

Despite the previous negative reviews we've eaten here many times in the past and always had good food and service. The cakes and patisseries are great with a coffee. the lunch menu is good too - ham egg and chips is relatively small but the quality was very good but in contrast the French platter was enormous (and loads of... Had a quick stop here for a coffee and a cake. What a total delight. The café was pristine and the quality of the cakes looked amazing and reasonably priced. We settled on a chocolate brownie to eat there but I couldn't resist to take home three fresh fruit tarts. The chocolate brownie was absolutely delicious as was the coffee.... More

Cute little cafe, gorgeous cakes, nice coffee. But miserable unwelcoming staff, who I fear were the owners. Hence I would not visit there again. How disappointing.

Sat down at three thirty and glanced through the menu, whilst watched by the owner. Cafe had one person in it and one at the counter. After looking through the whole menu was then told by the owner that the kitchens were closed! Great service! Well done!

We visited over the bank holiday weekend for breakfast Our order was messed up and there was no apology. In fact, very poor customer relations. Such a shame as when the food did come, it was delicious and good value for money. However we were not made to feel welcome and almost seemed an inconvenience
