Our visit was while staying in the hotel and the quality of the meal was very good although there was not a huge choice of meals available especially for vegitariens . We were staying out of season which maybe a factor. The staff were very good and knowledgeable. We had a very good meal in very... read more

Dessert was equally as nice although it was the first time I had tasted salted caramel ice cream and I doubt... More

Dreadful service and awful food Wont go there again Staff rude and impolite kept waiting for ages. As a local I find this unacceptable as the town is trying to attract tourists not put them off. Change your staff

The food was average and the atmosphere muted. Beth, the waitress, proved to be the highlight making a great effort at customer service.

I went for my Christmas lunch and was sat on a table for 1 with my back to everyone. The table was turned round for me so I could see others. My section of the dining room was empty and had no one to pull my cracker with. The food was bland and just warm. Very disappointing for my 1st... More

I believe this hotel has fairly recently changed it's chef. Ate in the restaurant two evenings during our stay in the hotel. Food was excellent. Hubby is a real foodie (used to have his own restaurant) so is very difficult to impress, and he really rated it. Only down point was there were very few people in the restaurant -... More
