This was by far the best meal we had the whole four days we have just spent in Torbay. The food was lovely and tasteful. It was also reasonably priced. The service was great. The people there are very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant itself is decorated with attracted ornaments and lanterns which makes it very atmospheric.

We visit Thai Star quite regularly as a couple or with family or friends. The service is very good and the food is fresh and delicious, TOP NOTCH as my brother in law put it.

Right on the waterfront it is probably the best thai restaurant we have been to. Lots of choice, very tasty and reasonably priced. We paid £35 for starter, 2 mains and drinks. The service was very friendly, the place was clean and the menu was full of choice,

Great food and a great evening. Service was a little slow but the restaurant was at maximum capacity and to be honest, we needed the break between courses. The food was absolutely delicious. Best we,have had in years. We'll done and thank you.

The service was really good and the staff very friendly! The food was outstanding with so much flavour! If I come to Torquay again I will definitely be booking a table here! The food is well priced too and the portions are of a good size. If you like Thai food then you'll love Thai star.

A table for two in what appeared to be a family run business. Lovely food and plenty of it. A rather noisy and intimidating group of customers in the corner were catered for by the young waiter well done. I would not have been so tolerant.

After eating at a major thai restaurant in manchester (chaophraya) the week before and being left disappointed I was a bit apprehensive. Me and my girlfriend love thai food as she is half thai and we have tried a few thai restaurants in our time. This one never lets us down. We must have been here about 4-5 times now... More

We found this little restaurant after a nice walk along the seafront. It has a nice outlook onto the quay and has a pleasant atmosphere. The food was very tasty, but not very Thai in our experience, having spent quite some time in Thailand - more 'Thainese', as my husband said! Probably our own fault for choosing the set menu,... We were very well looked after by the waiters and waitresses who gave us good advice about our food order. The seafood soup was excellent, although the ribs weren't as good as I've tasted elsewhere. The Massaman curry was one of the nicest, but the mussels were just average and it was a shame they weren't more local mussels as... More

It was a busy Saturday night which might not have helped. The restaurant was very warm despite appearing to have air conditioning which I assume was turned off!! The food was ok but I have eaten a lot better Thai food. I thought it was a little expensive but maybe reflects the fact that it is located in a popular... More
