We visited The hole in the wall for our evening meal and found the bar and restaurant staff helpful. The restaurant was a lot bigger than I imagined when walking into the oldest pub in Torquay. They had a good selection of food on the menu. I found my meal of pork tenderloin to be excellent and my girlfriends chicken... More

Great little pub tucked away from the crowds. Good atmosphere. Good cider (Devon scrumpy on tap). Nice entertainers and oozing with character. I went here for a pint every night almost.

The oldest pub in Torquay did not let us down, there was a lively atmosphere with plenty of authentic decor representing the many years that the pubs been in service. In regards to the food, it was all cooked very well but was quite simple, despite this it was proper pub food which would make you feel right at home,... More

We visited here over the weekend. On entering the place we found the place very small and was dangerously packed. People were crammed in like sardines. Those sat at booths at the back were practically penned in. Goodness knows what would have happened if any fracas had occurred - or anything similar. When we ordered a glass of wine we... More

My family and I called here for an evening meal and were not disappointed. I had the Chicken and Rib combo which was excellent as was the rest of the food for the party. We visited this place on Tuesday and were so impressed that we went again on Thursday for more food. Thanks for a great evening.

We found this pub hidden up a side street and were so glad we did. We ordered both off the specials and ordinary menu and all four of us had a delicious meal, not one complaint! The pub was clean and welcoming and the staff were friendly and helpful! Would definitely eat here again!

Went for Sunday lunch. They offered a selection of roasts and I went for the turkey. It was a huge portion with lots of trimmings and a wonderful variety of veg. Excellent value for money on a Sunday afternoon in a child free environment.
