Just had a superb meal here, so good in fact that we have booked again for Tuesday evening before we go home on Wednesday. Plenty of vegetables, beautiful fish (for myself) and duck for my husband, followed by delicious desserts. Will definitely be back next time in Torquay

Was looking for some where nice to eat in centre of Torquay, which wasn't from a chain. This gem hidden away up a little alley, landlord very welcoming, some nice real ales to try. 70 seat restaurant attached to bar, food was lovely fresh brixham muscles were delicious, fish pie and steak also nice. Good service, would love to go... More

Brilliant. I received the best food & attention possible. Nothing was too much trouble. It is a bit difficult for a disabled person like myself to reach, but well worth the effort.

Found this by accident after looking for somewhere quiet to eat away from the stag and hen do's. The food was delicious. After much deliberation we settled for the steak and ale pie. The gravy was rich and flavoursome and the meat just melted in the mouth. Booking is recommended as we were very lucky to get a table in... More

Advertising can be deceptive but not always in a negative way. We found the advert for the Hole in the Wall in a Good Food Guide for the resort. It looked like standard pub grub being overly advertised in the brochure. However when we got there we found it bustling with a mix of tourists and locals. The service was... More

We didn't book a table but arrived just before 7pm and was lucky, the food was excellent and enjoyed everything about this place, would recommend you go but book a table as not a big restaurant, you can eat in the bar but this is also very busy.

Very old and quirky but different. Service was a little slow but it was busy and the food come out tasting just fine.

Heard that the food here was good and it was good enough but the dining experience was ruined by the service. No greeting, slow and disinterested staff and had to wait an age for the meal. Décor is very old fashioned, dark and quiet depressing. Not recommended.
