These guys really know what they are doing. First Class Cuisine, friendly attentive service, interesting menu. And it's very convenient for the Gin Factory !

Visited with the other half who had dined here when at uni. Ordered from the express menu at £10.95 for two courses- an absolute bargain (fish of the day - mackerel/risotto and both had Eton mess for pud) and all the dishes were absolutely divine! The bowls that returned to the kitchen were clean as a whistle! Overall great service,... More

The Barbican Kitchen is a great place for couples - one of those places you would call "a treat" or visited when you fancied doing/going "something/somewhere special". The food is excellent, with the only issue being that you could attract a serious case of food envy...just ensure you order the beef medallions rather then letting someone else....you will be the... We have eaten at the Barbican Kitchen several times before and have had great food and good service but Sunday Lunch yesterday was very disappointing. The wait for our starters, chicken liver parfait, was around 45 minutes with no apology when it did arrive. We then had a wait of almost an hour for the main course to arrive, in... More

This has been a one of our favourite restaurants for a number of years now - however recently, the Barbican Kitchen has really upped its game. As always, the service is exceptional with friendly but not over bearing staff. The steaks are delicious and always cooked to perfect and you'd struggle to find a better Sunday roast in the South... I lunched with business colleagues and we all ate from the "Express menu". The food was delicious and the restaurant is light and attractive, but the mains took just under an hour to come and (for those who could wait) by the time we had coffee and pudding, all ordered together, just under two hours had passed. The service was... More

Undoubtedly my favourite restaurant ever! Unlike their other restaurant (originally named 'Tanners'), it won't cripple your wallet (maybe just sprain its ankle or scrape its knee...) and still maintains a standard of superior nommage. They do a very reasonable lunch menu and their Sunday roast is amazing. Service is always impeccable, once even got a free desert just for the... More

I ate dinner and lunch while working in the area - the food is excellent and wonderfully presented - the staff are friendly and attentive. The dinner a la carte is a bit pricey but the 2 or three course set menus are very good and reasonbly priced. Right next to the Plymouth gin distillery so I tried Plymouth Navy... More

We used to come here all the time for dinner, because we really liked the menu and the steaks were great. At one point I would have given this place 5 stars. However, it's not as good as it used to be any more. The menu has been condensed and is now quite boring, it used to get changed often.... More
