The food was nice - not that tasty, but reasonably presented, but portions were definitely on the small side. the goats cheese tart was delicious but tiny! The lunch offer seemed good value but you realise why when you see the portions :) Service was good, in fact a little too attentive, we were hoping for a leisurely lunch but... More

It has been some time since we visited here so we were a little apprehensive but no need to be concerned we had a great experience. We booked for early dinner on a Friday evening and were shown to our table as soon as we arrived-service was unhurried and all the better for that-I hate it when a restaurant virtually... More

Visited for a family meal (five of us) - all dishes were very good. Not a cheap option but excellent food for the price. Comfortable, good service.

I have been here for a special dinner with my girlfriend. The food was pretty good, even if the restaurant is pretty expensive. The waiter could have been more patient (always pressing us), but in brief a good experience.

We haven't been to the Barbican kitchen for a couple of years - why oh why!!! It was fantastic!! We had an early booking as we had a 6 year old with us, 6.30, plus 4 adults! Food was superb - there is a children's menu but they also offered to make mini portions of the adult menu for her!... More

I have been a regular diner at BK but this week was dismayed. The meal was extremely sub standard, the risotto tasted like it had been around for days and look awful. The waitress did her job but little else which for BK is unusual as the staff as normally v attentive. My friend emailed a concerned customer note to... More

Came here before the firework competition and decided on the early bird menu which gave excellent value for money. Portions weren't huge and limited choice but everything was presented well and tasted good. We had, pea soup with bread, very good, goats cheese tart which was tiny and "deconstructed" but very tasy. Salmon and chicken as mains both equally good,... More

We had a very nice meal. Reasonable price and served promptly by friendly and helpful staff. Portion adequate size for a sensible appetite, left feeling satisfied but not stuffed. Presentation really classy. Nice range of wine.

Chose not to have a starter as rather pricey but instead shared a bread board with olive oil and balsamic which was really nice and only 3.50 for 5 of us!!! Wine was great can reccomed the house sav blance which was 15.95... More

Early bird menu is great value, with simple, but well presented food. Portion size is average, but we also saw some standard menu items go out which looked more impressive. However, the best thing about this restaurant is the service; friendly, attentive and unobtrusive from the start. My main course arrived slightly cold, it was instantly changed, as were my... More
