My friend and I live in France and booked lunch at the Brasserie prior to our trip to UK. The food was excellent, we were not dissappointed at all. However, on arrival we were seated one table away from a family of four, two young children!!!. (we were second to arrive, after said family) Having travelled from France we would...

We visited this Restaurant with friends on a weekend break in Plymouth. The service was good and the food excellent. There was plenty to choose from on the menu.
For starters we had crab, 2 x soup and scallops. For main we had 2 x fillet beef, lamb and duck all of which were very nice and we all had...

We have been big fans of the Tanners Restaurant for years and decided to finally try the second string to the brothers bow. I took a fairly large party (9) and the food and service were very good. With everyone enjoying their menu choices. The venue is very nice but the decor is a little bland. All in all a...

I used to love this restaurant, but after today's meal, I will never be returning, my fillet steak was white, dry and tasted like a piece of pork!!! (The steak was cooked medium/rare)
The meat was decent (though not spectacular) but the rest was below average.
For a restaurant supposedly specialising in Italian food the pasta dishes were some of the worst I've had. Service wasn't particularly bad but the staff clearly were under the impression that this place is better than it actually is.
The atmosphere is somewhat lacking - loud, rushed...

Excellent meal on Sunday of Bank Holiday, lovely food, great staff and cool surroundings. Thanks very much. Shame the cocktail bar wasn't open upstairs but not a problem on a bank holiday weekend as lots of other places to choose from but Refectory Bar is super cool.
We ate here as a family for my husband's 70th birthday. Two members of the family run 30 restaurants between them and they were very impressed. The Sunday roast is only £10 but we also ate off the main menu and all the food was high quality and delicious. The service was very good and they bought out my husbands...

What can I say, went out with 6 of us. From booking to paying was the smoothest ever. The service from our waitress was superb, she looked after us like she new us. The food was excellent and plentiful, the drinks were reasonably priced. All in all a fantastic evening. £270 for 6 including a tip. Bargain. Will definately return.....

We had a lovely lunch, Two of us had from the "specials" beautifully cooked lemon sole, salad and new potatoes and my daughter had the duck, followed by sticky toffee pudding, she said both were very good. If you want a quiet lunch, this is not the place to go. We would choose Tanners at Prysten House, every time as...
