I have eaten here a number of times in the past and although rather pricey, have enjoyed the food. However, four of us went for a meal last night we were the only people in the restaurant. We ordered the Fue menu and a bottle of wine. Halfway through the meal I got a pain in my stomach and stopped... More

Like Japanese food but live in Torquay so this was a treat! Food quality excellent; service a bit slow but acceptable; presentation and decor very OK and had a good 'Japanese' feel about it all. Price, well a bit on the high side but it is good quality food and Japanese style so it will never be 'cheap'. Let me... More

Having attended Yukisan many times for both romantic and family dinners I can confidently say it is my favourite restaraunt. The atmosphere is serene and romantic and the opportunity to eat in the traditional loft sat on the floor (you sit on cushioned chairs with backs but no legs!) adds an extra dimension to the dining experience, though not one... We just had a sushi take-away from this place. To the price of 65 pound for 30 bites, we had expected to get quality for our money. The rice was extremely sticky, the fish smelled, the bites where indelicately big and we only got half tub of soya and hardly any ginger at all. We also ordered tempura, which was... More

We had such a fantastic meal here last night, the taster plate was excellent value and the variety of taste sensations was a must! It really appealed to me to taste lots of different dishes, which were all equally yummy! I recommend this restaurant! :)

Went on a Friday lunchtime with a work colleague and we both loved it. I had (from the Lunch Menu) Saikyo miso salmon and then Stir fried udon with chicken - except I asked for rice instead of udon. I was asked if I was Gluten Free to which I replied yes, I was then supplied with Gluten Free Soy... More

A nice change. Small and compact. Authentic food I think (though have not been to Japan). Attentive waitress. Quiet. Excellent food presentation. Tasty flavours.

Been here a few times and never disappoints! Really tasty meals, a good atmosphere and polite staff. It's a bit pricey but the quality of food is great. If you love or wish to try Japanese food then it is worth a visit.

Came here Sunday for Father's Day after every other bigger name restaurant in the town claimed to be fully booked. Only six or seven tables occupied here but it was lively and friendly. Service as ever was quick and attentive. We had the set lunch together with some fillet steak add ons and a bit of booze. We all had... More

I highly recommend this Japanese restaurant as one of the best places I have eaten in the south west. Warm welcome from the staff and the two girls looked after us all night. We had the Tai Ko set menu (look on the website under set menus) which was sent out at a high quality & presentation. Every dish had... More
