been with my mum and friend after booking (week day). arrived at 8.30pm as agreed and we ordered. Food unfortunately was really poor, fish soup not well established what kind of fish was in and fish and chips just with chips no peas (why?). tartara souce comes in a half empty bowl...too easy to guess that was on another table... Went for a meal recently and the service really let the place down. Food was slammed down in front of us, and menus grabbed out of our hands. No effort was made to made us feel welcomed. For such a small venue you would expect a more personal, friendly service! Very disappointing.

Reasonable food but very cramped space makes it uncomfortable and claustraphobic eating there.Pleasant service.

On my visits to England I try to get in as many fish & chips meals as I can. Platters is always on the list when I stay with my brother. I find the portions of good size, in fact the large f&c has finally beaten me and so this time I went for the medium which was still a... More

Went here for a family birthday, we had booked the table a week or so in advance, however despite arriving at the booked time the first two people to arrive were told that if the rest of us didn't get there soon they would give our table away, so not a great start. Having said that, once we were all... More

We booked for seven of us including three children to eat here . The standard fish and chips were excellent and good size portions though not overly cheap, the tartare sauce is superb. Other fish available on menu board with sea bass, brill etc. up to £18. It was a cold and windy day when we where there, so definitely... More

Visited with friends for Dinner. Its a tiny old place with an open kitchen. They supposedly have fresh local produce. But it seemed a bit pricey to me. The daily special were prices around £18. Regular Fish 'n chips are £12. The portions were huge so I ordered only a starter (garlic mushroom) with side of chips which cost me... More

Best fish and chip shop ever!! The selection on the menu is great and its super super fresh (it should be though as its literally on the harbour!!). Also, make sure you get some of their tartare sauce as its amazing!!! Really reasonable price wise too, the seating is a little cramped though.
