Was seated upstairs. We tried a set banquet meal which was well cooked and very tasty. Looking forward to returning to try one of their other set meals. Only small criticism was that the wine was served warm

Seated towards the end of the night with no trouble. Starters of steamed mussels in a delicious soup and garlic coriander chicken. Followed by a chicken curry dish recommended by a friendly and efficient gentleman waiter. Vermicelli very nice to complement main course. Looking forward to trying the other dishes on the extensive menu. Flavours came together in a tasty... More

The food was nice but I have had better. It's a shame they don't serve sticky rice unless you give advanced notice. I would go back again.

Have just enjoyed another excellent meal at this lovely restaurant and wanted to say 'Thank You' via Tripadvisor for the consistant quality and service. We were staggered to read the review 'Drab Tired and Ordinary' posted 1st September. Firstly you were very lucky to get a table without booking in advance and the reason you would have been taken upstairs... More

I returned to The Thai House as I had been here in the past and it was lovely. Good points Nice restaurant, clean and tidy, staff nice, the food is of good quality. Bad points It took ages to get served! It would have been nice if we could have been offered an extra drink or money off our bill... More

We much enjoyed intensely fishy salmon-cakes at this unassuming little place. The scallop, prawns and squid curry, all elements correctly cooked, redolent with lemongrass, was fab too, and seemed a comparative bargain (£10.95). Service is friendly and sound, ambiance is agreeably family-oriented. Prices aren't a bargain but fair for food of this quality. We shall return.

My wife and I were walking around the Barbican area and wanted to eat out so tried the The Thai House at around 7 pm. With only two people downstairs we were surprised to be led upstairs and were shown the wine list and menu. The waitress was quite abrupt who took our orders but later when the food arrived... More

Those ethereal tastes are here. The wonderful, light dressings on the salad side dishes. The best dishes are not "hot and spicy". The lady who greeted us immediately instilled confidence that we were in for a treat. We engaged with her in checking our choices and we all smiled. She made sure that we enjoyed a most excellent meal. This... More

Been here a few times now and it has never disappointed. The food is exceptionally tasty and always tastes fresh. The waiting staff and manager are always polite and courteous and their 15% discount on takeaway is also good. I don't feel that it is overpriced in the restaurant and I think that they have earned their reputation. If I... More

Visited here with my wife for an evening meal. Having traveling to Thailand a couple of times we find it hard to find authentic Thai cuisine and this place ticks all the boxes. Tasty food at a good price. Highly recommended . Give it a try.
