I'm amazed at some of the poor reviews!!!! We go here on a regular basis and can't find anything to complain about - believe me if there was something I would find it!! We went last Sunday for coffee and toast/bacon bap - we always ask for butter on the side and this is what we get, the coffee is... More

El Cafe on the Hoe Road in Plymouth is about as average as you can describe. There's nothing especially wrong with it but it's just dull. The view and setting is spectacular on the front of Plymouth, but the food is standard stuff... burgers, sandwiches, paninis etc. Counter service and cheap furniture don't help either. If you just want a... More

Great location but attitude of staff very poor. When ordering food & drinks staff don't even look you in the eye and only interested in getting your money. When leaving staff completely ignored us! Customer service skills non existent apart from the waitress who was pleasant! The guys behind counter zero social skills! Wouldn't return in a hurry.

Caught a sunny hour in between deluges of rain and had a great all day breakfast at El Café. Great views and friendly service from the young chap who was all on his own keeping all the balls in the air!

Like everyone is keen to state, the voews here are great, which adds real appeal. However, this place is a little pricey for what it offers, after all it is an outdoor cafe, and essentially a dog walkers rest. A lick of paint wouldnt do it any harm either, never quite understood why the view has to be blocked by... More

You will not beat the location of this lovely café. The staff are very helpful and cheerful. Im not a coffee drinker normally but their coffee is divine. Light meals are available, they are very fresh and tasty. Id recommend a visit.

Thank you so much for bringing El Cafe so that we can enjoy our stunning waterfront. The coffee is fabulous - made with a great brand of coffee and real milk (none of that awful UHT stuff). El cafe has become 'my office' - my favourite meeting place for business meetings and for meeting up with friends.

The location is fantastic and we especially like the covered area. It is nice to be able to grab a reasonably priced coffee here and you can take dogs. We've had breakfast baps here too that were good. Don't expect anything posh, its just plain cafe food but tasty. The service we have had on the 3 recent occasions we have... More

Can I say this is a lovely location but the owner is terrible he has no customer skills what so ever, and it rubs on some of his staff, when busy they just can't cope. If you go to the café down the road same coffee food and a smile.

Fantastic views, but the slowest and I do mean the slowest service ever. Ok coffee, but panini can only be described as bland and not worth the longest wait ever. Terrible service not even busy.
