A fantastic Real Ale House in Plymouth, 9-10 Real Ales and Real Cider too...an oasis in a desert of rubbish bars and crappy pubs. The Sunday Roast at £4.99 is a must! At other times feel free to bring in your own food from the myriad of food outlets in the near vicinity.

Won CAMRA pub of the year local award five times

The Fort is an excellent community pub with an extremely good range of beers and various darts/sports teams, a quiz etc etc. I think you can only eat at Sunday lunch (Sunday roast) but you can take in food on other days. It is a very popular pub as you can see from its winning various... read more

This is a great place for a drink with mates - friendly bar staff, ever-changing selection of beers (many local to Devon/Cornwall). It's just a proper boozer which is hard to come by these days.

I really enjoy the Forescue. The staff are friendly and there's always room to sit down with people and have a chat, even when it is packed! I love the atmosphere and they often put on live music, too. What more does a girl need? Oh Cider!! There's always a good selection to choose from, and the staff are incredibly... More

A nice pub with its peculiar atmosphere, frequent customers but overall a good selection of real ales. You are welcome to consume your own food inside (of course having the good taste of ordering a drink)

Great Sunday Lunch and superb value too at a little under £5 And all comes with Spingo gravy, You either nod in understanding or revel in its mystery, warning this gravy is seriously addictive you have been warned!

I like this pub. Well kept beers, friendly, trouble free environment, good mix of all ages and types, efficient bar staff. Generally a very convivial feel. Just what the doctor ordered. But I have never seen food here. No problem because although there are no restaurants on Mutley Plain, there are plenty of takeaways and if you are brave you... More

Finally went here for Sunday lunch. The roast looked great and is excellent value for money. I say looked as I went on the Sunday of their cider and curry festival and had a curry instead of the roast. Never did try the cider but the real ale was great as usual.

Used this Pub/Inn to meet up with old pals after 30 years and the staff could have not been any more helpful or welcoming; A vast choice of beers and ciders to wash down the excellent food served up. We were there on a Saturday night and were looked after so well we all returned for Sunday Lunch which was... More
