Went here for the first time the other day and thoroughly enjoyed it. We had the line caught haddock and chips with peas. We also like the fact they are MSC Certified ! Keep up the good work we will be back :)

Very good fish and chips as usual. Definitely one of the best in Plymouth only pipped to the post by west hoe fish and chips. My only criticism is both my wife and I ordered medium chips and large cod and I was disappointed with the size, my sons childs chips were about the same size as ours. But I'm... More

Thought this would be a good shop as they have awards and there were queues. Wouldn't do plain fish. Fish was claimed to be fresh but told its frozen and caught in Norway! We ordered 2 chips a veggie burger and beef burger. Cost Over £10! The bun was dry, unbuttered, not toasted and NO salad! The veggie burger straight... More

We brought our Canadian friends down to the Barbican to try some traditional fish and chips. Orders are taken and then you have to wait for your order to be freshly cooked. This is becoming the usual practice in chippies these days, and why do we have to be in such a hurry anyway. Portions were good. Food was hot... More

Disappointed! This shop recently won an award for Best Staff Training and indeed the staff were good, unlike the fish and chips. The large fish ordered was minute and clearly not fresh as the flesh was hard and, whilst it was a hot, sunny day. should have been white and not tanned brown, however, the chips were hot tasty. Tables... More

I waited to long for my fish and chips when I eventually got my order the fish was terrible you can tell it has been frozen.it was a really fishy smell witch put me off it so I chucked it. The chips were not cooked properly and most of them had green bits in them. To top it off the... More

We queued a long time. The girls behind the counter were miserable and we were sitting at our table inside for a long time waiting for our fish and chips. When the meal arrived it was served in a cardboard box, the chips were underdone, the battered fish was hard and we could not eat it so we left it... More

There was a little queue and we automatically assumed this would hinder our food but it disappeared very quickly. The friendly staff helped me with a few questions I had on some of the food and the lovely young girl who served me was very quick with preparing my food. Very impressed. Much better than the Barbican Fish Bar next... More

What a super Fish & Chip shop. Ideally situated on the Barbican with very friendly and cheerful staff, working under pressure to provide a fast and efficient service. The quality of food and the range of choice is very good and emphasis has been placed on cleanliness. Good value and most enjoyable.
