Open since May 2011 in a modern bur narrow and interesting back street extending a fifteenth century lane behind an old pub and down at pavement level with high modern close flats and business buildings above it. Contemporary tasteful quaint maybe. We just came upon it while looking for the back entrance of a hotel. Only 150m from the nearest quayside. A pleasant busy little cafe dominated slightly by the extensive selection at the deli counter. Lovely place and almost unfindable if you don't know where to look or that its there. Perfect in quality novelty and appeal for a Tripadvisor entry.

It was difficult to find but worth it when you get there, a smallish place but also take away. Everything made fresh and yummy and the signature blueberry bear cake is a must but be warned they seem to go quickly!!! Lots of options on the menu and very resonably priced. They offer some deals that are very good value... More

I think it this place has a lot of potential, however I do think they could do with quickening the service. My boyfriend and I came in for lunch and we were told there would be a wait on the baguettes as they were baking. We were fine with this, but when they were ready, mine came about 15mins after... Tried to use the Groupon Voucher to get a couple of Sandwiches for my Wife and I. Although the voucher specifically says the voucher CAN be used over three separate days, the member of staff I saw decided that it meant it MUST be used over three separate days and so wouldn't allow me to get a sandwich for me... Bluebeardeli P, Owner at Blue Bear deli, responded to this review

As this customer was unable to visit us on 3 separate occasions, which was the whole idea of the Groupon marketing, they received an apology for the inconvenience and offered a refund on their voucher through Groupon. We have taken the feedback on-board, and will ensure that any future Groupon offers are made clearer by Groupon. As a small business... More

The choice is very limited and the reception I got was not the most friendliest especially when I wanted to pay by card. I ordered the bacon Sarnie, it was more sarnie than bacon. The coffee was very nice.

Lovely and fresh food. Shame about the opening hours. It was also very busy to get a table, which just shows how popular it is.

Slunk out the back door of Jury's with a dreadful hangover after an excessively long night of debauchery and excess. Reception at the hotel had recommended this small unit run by two bright lads knocking out simple snacks with an Italian bias beside their small but perfectly formed deli shelves. Just what the doctor ordered. Sat in the shade inside... More
