The bar man was surly, the manageress was disinterested and the two drunk regulars at the bar clearly took a dislike to us (one must assume due to the fact that we were the only other people in there) so, before... I went with a group of friends to eat dinner there before joining in with the pub quiz. I ordered rare cooked steak with fries and I was seriously impressed! The high quality of the cut was evident and the tenderness and juiciness of the meat made it one of the most delicious meals I have had- certainly one of... More

Came here for the first time in about 10 years, and we will definately be going back. The pub quiz on a Tuesday was great fun, really well organised. They serve food in the evening between 5-8pm and it was fantastic value, all home cooked and the vegetarian options were a welcome surprise...thankyou! Amazing staff and service.

Having walked past the door several times and not being in the mood to cook, I popped into the Woodside for a meal. The staff were very friendly and informative on the products avaliable. Having taken my order and paid, I found a seat and waited for my food. Hardly five minutes had passed before the meal arrived. Although welcome... More

Worked in Plymouth for a few months and was introduced to the woodside or woody. What a great little pub with really good well proced food and ale. Landlord Kieth is a real laugh and the staff are really friendly. Couldn't recommend this pub highly enough and can't wait to visit again

I really enjoy this pub, it does quiz nights and its a great place to have a drink and socialise. There is the option of playing pool, or sitting in some secluded areas. Drinks prices are fair too and the staff are very friendly. It is also quite accessible, near most places, walking distance from town and some residental areas,... More
