Ranked #41 of 500 restaurants in Plymouth
Certificate of Excellence 2014
Cuisines: British
Dining options: Breakfast/Brunch
Description: Opened just before the August Bank Holiday in the large ground floor of a big old Victorian terraced house beside West Hoe Park and about two hundred metres from the sea. This is a clean simple modern family cafe with a couple of tables out front near the childrens play area and the servery and several wooden tables inside. There is already a Facebook support page and during the opening week it has been busy on wet and dry days. Easily justifies an entry. There has been a recent small surge in the large waterfront area involving independent small tea and home made fresh cake and snack businesses. Things are looking up.

We had a lovely lunch in this warm comfortable eatery. The menu is varied and interesting. We enjoyed the generous baguette fillings and large portions of cake.

I must have walked past a hundred times on my way to university as I only live around the corner but only went in for the first time this weekend. Great fresh food (the creamiest goats cheese) and perfect coffee for affordable prices. I'll be a regular soon enough!

We had a groupon deal for a baguette with a hot drink. The baguette was warmed and the filling cooked and prepared so was really fresh and warm. We went across the road and sat in the park to eat and drink. Very nice.

Stopped here for a light tea with my mum and my two girls 10 & 7.. It usually closes at 4.30pm but was open later due to the fireworks event. We all had baguettes which were offered with a delicious range of fillings, goats cheese with spiced pear chutney or Brie with beetroot pickle, for example. The bread was wonderfully... More

We wanted a nice traditional cafe and just happened to come across this little find whilst on a day trip to Plymouth. The coffee was one of the best I've tasted in a long while and it didn't come with the "costa coffee" prices either and much much nicer , even so I had to have another cup! All the... More

The cooked breakfast in the cafe is really good. all carefully cooked with quality ingredients. The coffee and tea are lovely and the cakes on display look so tempting.

Used a Groupon offer to visit this cafe for takeaway baguettes & coffee. Friendly service, excellent baguettes from a good selection, good coffee. Will appeal to users of the children's park at West Hoe. May be a little off the seafront for casual strollers, but well worth a visit.

I have just been to the cafe with work colleagues who had recommended the location from their own visits. The place was spotlessly clean yet cosy and welcoming. The staff were very friendly. The food was excellent and well presented. I will return with family and friends and I will definately recommend to others

A fab find on a day trip out with my Sister & little boy. Very welcoming, immaculate internally, child friendly, high- chair on offer, really reasonable prices, wonderful selection of food & for children, delicious homemade cakes, relaxed atmosphere. I'd recommend trying the fresh baguettes especially the sliced ham, cheese & homemade red onion & chilli relish followed by carrot... More

We stopped for breakfast here more than once. Really tasty sausage and egg baguette. Full English was excellent too. Service was super friendly and the coffee was perfect. Cakes and lunch stuff looked great but we didn't try them.
