A well established waterside cafe and bar in Plymouth England alongside several others which already have a Tripadvisor entry. Describes itself as Venetian Tapas which sounds a bit odd but the food style is light varied smacks many with a seafood bias. During summer week nights and lunchtime and weekends year round this is very busy but always offers daytime food. It is a lively fun place that deserves a listing.

On a rainy bank holiday Sunday we had a couple of drinks in this bar. I live in plymouth and this bar is located on a busy row of bars and restaurants on the popular Barbican. Firstly the I noticed the poor state of the decor, flooring and generally look of place. It is tired and shabby. The single ladies... More

Their tapas menu is great and good value. Pinot Grigio at £14 can't be bad. I would suggest it's best to go in the summer as their menu is larger then (no doubt to cater for the tourists). Their home-made pork scratchings with home-made chutney is to die for....unfortunately it's often out of stock - maybe there aren't enough pigs... More

Visited Bacaro last Saturday night with friends,I often come in here as its a much more relaxed atmosphere than the likes of the cider press next door. As always the cocktails were superb!I recommend the bramble!staff were friendly and efficient! If you want a bar to chill out in then this is the place!

My wife and I have been coffee regulars for many years, due to the fact that the coffee is superb every time. We decided to stay for a bit of lunch yesterday as we were late out and feeling peckish. We opted for a sandwich each, a Blue Heaven - Bacon & melted Stilton, and a Spicy Melt - Chicken,... More

We chose bacaro above other restraunts for somewhere to eat, because they allowed children into the area and had plenty of room for our pushchair. We were the only ones in, and the waiter was pleasant and helpful. The food was average... it would have been better if my pizza had been allowed to cook for a little longer. The... More

I visited bacaro on a Saturday night a few weeks ago. Originaly just for a quick drink with my partner before moving on for seafood further down. However we found the staff welcoming and friendly, so we decided to stay for dinner! The food was good and arrived quickly, if a little on the small side! It was a little... More

Went there on a nice evening for drinks and a light meal. Went in to the bar and asked for two menus the staff just looked at the menus on the side and said nothing. I later returned to order food and they had ran out of nachos so I changed my choice to the Mediterranean mussels. They then said... More
