Fantastic

Have been here for Sunday lunch which is not to be missed but even better is Sunday tapas. A bottle of wine and a massive sharing board of meats, cheese, bread and dips. Great value.

Like a previous reviewer we also found this lovely pub whilst walking around The Barbican in Plymouth on a wet Wednesday. We followed the sign and came across this gem of a place. We had one dish from the main menu ( a good range of dishes) and one from the specials board ( 4 listed) . They arrived in... More

This pub was a great find for us; very homely and welcoming. Food was of excellent standard and plenty of menu choices. We highly recommend this establishment and wish we had found it earlier in our stay, but we will be going back!!

Saw the sign at the bottom of the steps on the Barbican so we went up to have a drink. Good pint of local beer so we went back later to eat. Food very reasonably priced, tasted really good and was presented well. Apple crumble was wonderful but we shared it and glad we did as it was rather large.... More

What do you do on a wet Thursday evening in Plymouth? Well you don't hang around do you? So having spotted a strategically place sign between the Hoe and Barbican; it was into the The Fisherman's Arms (not literally) its the pub I mean, tucked away at the bottom of Lamghay St. Excellent Pub grub, cozy surroundings, A very warm... Went here for Sunday lunch and was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. I had a broken leg at the time and was very well looked after by the friendly staff. This is the best Sunday lunch I have eaten in years!!

What a brilliant atmosphere here. Smiles were everywhere...from the staff....other customers ...and the resident pouch. Drinks at reasonable prices. Excellent home cooked food, plenty on your plate, With a good varied selection, generous desert portions as well, all this in a building that goes back to the 13th century.

Excellent home-cooked food, lovely atmosphere and great prices. Dogs are welcome and you are made to feel at home. Good-sized portions and great prices for drinks. Just off the Barbican, but easily missed. Seek it out! You'll be glad you did! You've gotta eat here!

What a fantastic hidden away treat! It's the type of pub setting and experience you would expect but my god does that Chef know how to cook. We were told we could sit were we liked so we chose a six seater towards the back and were greeted by the waiter giving us menus within a few minutes once we... More
