Donna and her family have created a fantastic pub/restuarant, whether you fancy a pint, a snack or a full meal. This is one of the most welcoming pubs I have visited in Plymouth. Now recommending to all my friends, and getting great feedback from them as well

This pub/restaurant closed down a while back so when we heard it was under new management and open again we determined to make a visit. Cold, damp Sunday afternoon but on walking through the door greeted with warmth,a busy restaurant and bar and a lovely fire. Seeing others eating roast dinners made us hungry and we were delighted to find... More

We determined to come for a traditional pub lunch and a couple of pints today (Sunday 18 January) and went to the website, only to find that the basic details and opening times were clear but that the menu pages are illegible and only the odd larger word can be read. We will still go down and try it, but... More

The staff were really friendly, we would say the food was traditional and informed majority of the menu was home cooked! Really enjoyed are time here! We will def be... More

Went for meal with dad and his partner tonight at this cosy pub after reading reviews on trip adviser. It was quiet due to the weather which was pretty rainy but the lady greeted us warmly and the pub has a cosy fire and comfy decor. The food was pretty standard pub grub but was well presented, warm plates and well priced. We had... Visited twice in space of 2 weeks the most recent with 9 friends for a birthday get together at a lunchtime. We stayed over 3 hours which says something about the pub and friendly new owners. We had some 'proper' pub grub in addition priced at realistic proper pub prices which was very nice. The owners appreciative of our custom... More

Great welcome, fast service, offered choice of cider to taste to help decide which one suited - sounds like a perfect pub - and is! Well spaced seating. An open fire (rather smokey at one point, but opening the door did the trick). Definitely worth tracking down, but really is only a little off the main drag, and a place... More

Perfect that this pub has reopened its doors in time for Christmas, I had intended to start and finish my Christmas and New Years evenings there, in between indulging in the mayhem of the pubs on the main Barbican drag, but the welcome i recieved, the pleasant atmosphere, and good company, was like a spell that I could not break.... Good to find that this Barbican pub has reopened and that it has forsaken the faltering and underused restaurant that had been here for several years. I like the attempt to create a homely neighbourhood pub a bit on the Queen Vic lines and wish them well. Very hospitable on the lunchtime we came in for a couple of well... More

Donna & Lee the new owners are really welcoming. We have visited several times over the last couple of weeks since the opening night. The Fishermans Arms has a real homely feel, decorated beautifully throughout, lots of spacious seating areas and a very enticing log fire on cold days. Whether you just want a drink or somewhere to eat, I... More
