Fun and delicious

We had a traditional cream tea with scones and tea on a beautiful late spring afternoon. The garden is a delightful place to experience a fun tradition. Friendly service!

Tucked away in the back streets of The Barbican this quaint tea room is well worth a visit. A warm welcome and friendly staff made our visits a good experience. Seating either inside or the garden if weather permits , good choice on the menu ,food very good value .We enjoyed the atmosphere here and hope to visit again.

Lovely home cooked food, the cakes and cream teas are delicious. If the weathers good you can sit out in the garden.

We wanted a nice relaxing drink, and this was just the ticket. Just off the main Barbican street with a lovely garden that's a real sun trap. The cream tea was delightful and the sandwiches freshly made. the fact it was armed forces day meant it was busy but even so the service was good and they were clearing and... More

Enticed in with a friendly gentleman showing us the wooden walls in the banquet room that are over 400 years old and the 450 year old stairs. We enjoyed a lovely Traditional Devonshire Cream Tea in the gorgeous courtyard with the sound of trickling water in the background. Nice Plymouth Tea (Drake blend).

Have visited Plymouth many times, but have just discovered this lovely restaurant, tucked away (but well sign-posted) in New Street, just off the Barbican. Visited with 5 friends, for lunch, and sat in the delightful garden. Service was swift and friendly; the lunch menu has plenty of choices for "light bites" and my jacket potato with bacon, mushrooms and cheese... More

I do love it here. Visited several times now and it is lovely. They have a nice little garden which on a beautiful day, can be a nice sun trap. There are also tables in the shade. The food is made fresh to order and tastes delicious. The scones are homemade too, big and give generous portions of cream &... More

Friendly, speedy service, delicious home made scones and good portions of cream and jam. Pot of really tasty tea - would have loved more! Would definitely go back.
