Little gem

Tuck away in a side street just off the harbour this little tea room is well worth a visit.the walled garden is lovely and surrounded on all sides which makes it a sun trap.the food was fresh with generous portions. We ordered 2 sub rolls( 1 egg and cress and 1 crab with a pot of tea and the... read more

Old fashioned type of venue favoured by more elderly or just quieter people which compared to many eateries on the Barbican is an absolute blessing - this is the sort of place you could sit with a coffee and read a book without screaming kids running amok around, I meet lots of friends here and we can actually hear each... We stopped here after visiting the aquarium. Good value for money, quick service and lots of choice on the menu.

We've eaten here a couple of times, and it's become our first choice place to have lunch when we're in the area. The interior has a lovely period feel and is actually quite spacious. The staff are very friendly, the food/drink is nice and there's quite a lot of choice on the menu. There's a seating area outside, which I... More

Nice treat for my mum and sister, the scones were beautiful and still warm, however the cherry bombs were vile. The interior needs a huge facelift, though just a fresh lick of paint would make a massive difference. There was fantastic value for money though.

Great quirky tea rooms, polite staff, beautiful gardens to sit and enjoy a lovely Devon Cream Tea... Really nice place. China cups would be a nice idea,

Frequent this tea-room quite frequently. Beautiful tea gardens in an atmospheric Elizabethan area of the Barbican. Owner and staff exceptionally friendly. Food excellent. Well worth a visit.

This really nice tea room in a quit little side street is really worth a visit. We found it when we took a wrong turn on a walk trough the old city. Really nice garden where you could enjoy your tea in quit surroundings.
