Spoilt for choice

We tried this restaurant and used our Gourmet Society membership card. The choice of food for each course is amazing. There are all sorts of dishes that I had never heard of on this menu. I had Mixed Lajwab Special for starter. This was a combination of three different tandoori meats barbecued... read more

We enjoyed fantastic Indian Cuisine presented beautifully by helpful friendly staff. When we next visit Plymouth we will certainly be eating at the Eastern Eye again.

Having visited once before I took my parents when they came to Plymouth for my birthday and it was even better than last time. Having difficulty choosing from their menu, our waiter asked what I generally liked and recommended something which was spot on. All the food was incredible and the service was top notch. Friendly, cosy and attentive. Definitely... More

Over the past 5 or 6 years we have eaten here a good number of times. We have always had great service and the food has always been a good standard of curry. Agreed it can be quite pricey, but as long as the food tastes good that does make it worthwhile. In my opinion one of the better curry... More

I have been visiting the Eastern Eye for years and it never fails to impress. A great team who know how to run a business. The menu is big - if you're not sure, the staff are always happy to make a suggestion and are very knowledgeable about the food. I asked the staff to recommend a curry on my... More

A huge menu to choose from but the food did not live up to expectations. Billed as traditional the food was at times bland (sag aloo) and over cooked (very dry chicken rice). The main dish portions were massive and could almost feed two. Boh the mains we ordered were tasty and made up for the other niggles. In short... More

I've been going to Eastern Eye for 20 years and it has never been a disappointment. It has evolved from a standard 'curry house' to a more stylish establishment. The menu is vast but interesting and constantly changes. Prices are on the higher side but the food never disappoints and portions are very very generous. I would fully recommend the... More

We were attracted by the modern clean appearance of the restaurant from outside. And we were not disappointed on entering. Cleverly decorated - lighting although on first thoughts may be a bit bright, was actually very in obtrusive and made for a lovely atmosphere. Staff members were very polite and accommodating. The waiter quickly picked up on the fact that... More

I honestly don't know why this place is rated so highly. They have squeezed the most amount of tables in possible with one up stairs that you have to be thinner than a piece of skate. The menu is Full of dishes that I've never heard and very very expensive. When my waiter came to put plate on table there... More

Came here recently with friends and ordered main courses only, due to the fact that menu was so expensive, which is why we couldn't afford starters. Iv been to many indian restaurants and my honest opinion is the food is really good, however I still fail to understand why their menu is so expensive compare to other indian restaurant when...
