fabulous Sunday lunch

great roast lunch - just like your mother used to make - with good service and fabulous atmosphere. Place was very busy and would highly recommend this little place on the edge of the village

Lovely Steak dinner, shame that there was only 4 people in the restaurant, but an enjoyable evening never the less. .

We have eaten here several times and have always enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The service was particularly good this year.

Went here as they are dog friendly. Glass topped tables so every time you put a glass down it felt like a earth quake. Food was pretty mediocre for how much it was. £11 for Fish pie, couldn't really guess any other fish than salmon. Condiments come in sachets (yuk) if you serve fish at least make your own tartar... Cosy, with a warm atmosphere. It's not at all "up market" - just good honest food. Not very big, so booking for evenings is recommended. If they have fish or seafood on the "specials" board take advantage as it is same-day fresh & the prices/value for money is exceptional. Service friendly & efficient + they don't kick you off your... My daughter had three requests for her Birthday - a family day out in Lynton/Lynmouth, cake and a glass of Prosecco! Well we managed all three! Whilst wandering around Lynton we spotted Lily Mays Tea Shop and what a delight it turned out to be! To our surprise, we weren't banished to a table outside, because, horror of horrors, we... More

Spotted this pretty, small cafe and saw they were opening for evening meals. We enjoyed the half lobster with garlic butter and delicious fish and chips. Sensibly priced wine. An unassuming little place, but worth trying for good food.

Looked really inviting from the outside but the food was disappointing. Fish and chips turned out to be like a "Birds Eye" frozen meal and certainly not fresh fish cooked there. Also, background music which was far from background which we did not enjoy.

Popped in here during a visit to the Valley of the Rocks. The scones were absolutely delicious and was complimented by an excellent cup of tea. Lovely garden setting and good to see that it was dog friendly

We went there for a lunch-time snack. It was very busy and only one waitress. Had beautiful sandwiches with wonderful bread and an enormous pot of good strong tea. The savoury scone teas looked good - we could hear one German family um uming about how much they were enjoying their scones with cheese etc.
