Cosy, with a warm atmosphere. It's not at all "up market" - just good honest food. Not very big, so booking for evenings is recommended. If they have fish or seafood on the "specials" board take advantage as it is same-day fresh & the prices/value for money is exceptional. Service friendly & efficient + they don't kick you off your... My daughter had three requests for her Birthday - a family day out in Lynton/Lynmouth, cake and a glass of Prosecco! Well we managed all three! Whilst wandering around Lynton we spotted Lily Mays Tea Shop and what a delight it turned out to be! To our surprise, we weren't banished to a table outside, because, horror of horrors, we... More

Spotted this pretty, small cafe and saw they were opening for evening meals. We enjoyed the half lobster with garlic butter and delicious fish and chips. Sensibly priced wine. An unassuming little place, but worth trying for good food.

Looked really inviting from the outside but the food was disappointing. Fish and chips turned out to be like a "Birds Eye" frozen meal and certainly not fresh fish cooked there. Also, background music which was far from background which we did not enjoy.

Popped in here during a visit to the Valley of the Rocks. The scones were absolutely delicious and was complimented by an excellent cup of tea. Lovely garden setting and good to see that it was dog friendly

We went there for a lunch-time snack. It was very busy and only one waitress. Had beautiful sandwiches with wonderful bread and an enormous pot of good strong tea. The savoury scone teas looked good - we could hear one German family um uming about how much they were enjoying their scones with cheese etc.

This is a lovely little restaurant in Lynton that serves home cooked food and always has a few specials on the menu. A decent wine selection plus superb service makes everybody feel more than welcome the minute you walk in

This is very much a sweet little tea shop. I am a single traveller and had dinner here one evening. I didn't at all feel out of place eating alone and the environment felt warming. The service, food! Food quality and price were all very fitting in this charming village.

We have been regular customers at this restaurant for many years, along with other family members. The food is always exceptional, served in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere and there is always a specials board to choose from. Don't miss Friday nights, which are steak nights and if you fancy an excellent "T" Bone steak make sure you pre-order with Rob... More

Loved this little place. Not the best decorated but certainly made up for that with the lovely food.
