I recently enjoyed a wonderful light lunch here. I had the prawn sandwich and what I got was a large sandwich full of the largest prawns I've seen in a long time, accompanied by a small salad and a little bowl of crisps, well presented on a long platter. The dinner menu looked good but we didn't have the time... More

Visited early on a Saturday evening after wandering around Lynton. We both had steak, they were beautifully cooked and full of flavour, the sauces, salad and roasted tomatoes were delicious. Finished the meal with a plate of cheeses to share. Lovely meal, the only slight negative was the lack of atmosphere but I think this was due to us eating... More

I purchased vouchers for friends as they live in Lynton and have a vegan in the group, so I hoped this would be a good choice. Ronnie could not have been more helpful. He hand-delivered the vouchers and wrote a note on my behalf, then called me to confirm delivery. My friends have used their voucher and said that they... More

I thought the staff here were really friendly and good fun, we had a good time during our meal. It was a large varied menu with lots of specials. I had mussels which came in a 'Spanish style' sauce, absolutely delicious and huge big mussels. The homemade dips and flatbreads we had to start where very good too and the... More

The owner remembered our party from a previous visit 2 years ago. The coffee there is excellent, and the fact that they stay open till very late is great when the weather is good and we are in need of liquid refreshment. Next time I will certainly take the time to sample their menu, which looked varied and good value... More

After enjoying a wander around Lynton we were in search of a very late lunch about 3pm. We were met with a warm welcome by staff and offered a great menu. We chose the Broccoli and blue cheese soup which was truly delicious. Would definitely come back. The dinner menu looked great too - a shame weren't able to make... More

We booked on advise from our guest house owners and we were not disappointed. We had two very flavoursome meals(lamb shank and marinated chicken with risotto) followed by a delicious warm rhubarb and ginger pudding with clotted cream. Reasonably priced good atmosphere will definitely eat here again on our next trip to Lynton

We were out working late in the area, and the owners of Lee House called to ask if Vanilla Pod would serve us, even though it was past nine - they did, and with such service! Would definitely recommend. The food was fantastic!!

Lynton is a beautiful little village and the Vanilla Pod complements it nicely. It is tucked away down a side street, but isn't hard to find. We turned up early with our dog and they were more than happy to seat us in the bar area inside, which was nicely set out and decorated with artwork from the Gallery@500feet that... More
