Our suggestion as we left was, smaller cream teas. For the first time in my life I was unable to eat a full cream tea. Much, much to big, one between us would have been ample The other problem was it was so nice I ate more than I really should have before admitting defeat. Fortunately it was... read more

We visited Lynton during Easter week and decided to snatch a cup of coffee before we returned down to Lynmouth to collect our car. We should have known better, as there was a notice on the door, advertising for staff. I went into the cafe to place our order, which would then be brought out to us. We waited 30... More

Not too impressed with the variety or value for money. The food wasn't of great quality and the Coffee a little tasteless for my liking. Compared to other establishments in Lynton this place would not be in my top five.

We dropped into this Cafe before going on the cliff top railway We Ordered a cream Tea and a coffee Scone came with plenty of jam and clotted cream and when we tasted it I can honestly say it was the best scone I have ever had and we have had some really nice ones. They were bigger than you... More

The standard of food has gone down since this beautifully positioned café changed hands. I had a "ham and salad baguette" which comprised a thin slice of ham, a couple of pieces of shredded iceberg lettuce and a quarter of a tomato. Disgraceful for the price. It looked liked it had been put together in two seconds and was very... More

This position of this cafe is wonderful. A place people flock to before and after their journey on the railway. But a few detrimental changes have been made. The interior has lost its appeal and the standard of food has been cut. We just ordered coffee which was weak and tasteless. We asked if an extra shot could be added... More

The position of this cafe is excellent - at the top of the cliff railway. When we were there we did not find the service particularly helpful or friendly. This was September 2012 so let's hope things have improved.

My husband and I were most pleasantly surprised with our cream team. The scone was the size of a burger bun and there were lashings of clotted cream (which most places are tight with), and we had 3 cups of tea each from the pot. Lovely - totally recommend.
