We'd met my parents for lunch in lynmouth and not having been to the town before we had a brief look around and headed for the cute looking restaurant in the centre of the town. In retrospect it was a mistake and we should've gone in the village inn. The sandwiches were ok, the soup cold and the jacket spuds... More

October half term and most of Lynton and Lynmouth had virtually closed up after the summer season. Found this restaurant as they did "grill" food which we really enjoy. Ate there both nights, coming down from Lynton to do so. Service (James & Sam) was great - menu was exactly what we wanted and not as pricey as other places... More

Just popped in for a takeaway tea before a walk on the seafront and wanted to say thank you to the young lady from Kent for being so friendly.

We visited here for lunch on the 16th September. They are dog friendly in the garden which is a bonus because there seem to be a lot of doggy people who visit this area, they have dog water bowls all over the garden area. That is the plus part. On the downside the staff do seem to be a little... More

We decided to have dinner The Harbourside Restaurant. We did not book in advance, but when we arrived at 7pm we were told by one of the barmen that our order could not be taken until 7-15, even though there were only another two tables occupied, and in the meantime we could study the menu and have a drink. No... More

Me and my partner visited the rock on a very sunny afternoon, along with our two dogs who where as welcomed as we where. The food was lovely and the bar man Sam was very helpful and friendly, a real credit to the establishment. Will defiantly recommend to anyone! Look forward to returning soon

Our knowledgable b&b hosts told us this place had just changed hands. We called here after a long walk and just watched. 2 groups asking for money back as had been waiting for food so long, over 1 hour. Another group complained as they had bee waiting over an hour and were told there were only 2 chefs on!! That... More

I cannot comment on the hotel as I did not stay. Went here on Sunday for lunch, at the time I arrived it wasn't very busy. Chose to sit in the lovely garden. I was completely appalled by the service I had received. Had to wait for over an hour for food. Not one member of staff apologised about the... More
