Consistently good

This is one of favourite curry houses in Exeter at the moment. We have tried various curry houses across the UK & this stacks up against them all. Haven't had a duffer in here yet. If you like something different it's a must try.

Ordered via just eat at 19.55. Called the restaurant at 21.25 as food had not arrived. Told it was leaving and would be 5 minutes (we live less than a mile away) Called again at 21:46, was told the order was currently being loaded as the wrong order was previously on route and had to be recalled. Food finally arrived... More

We came to the restaurant at 8pm and had to wait 40 minutes for menus and drinks. We then had to ask a waitress to take our order. Food took a while getting out (although it was lovely) and we ended up getting our mains at 9:40pm. When we asked the manager for some money off, he was very rude... More

Great Nepalese food served by good, friendly staff, who are prepared to do that little bit extra for you. This time they created a plate of mixed starters for each guest. Never fail to have a good meal here and cannot recommend it highly enough. Nice choice in bottled beer too

We were looking for an Indian, so we picked the Gurkha Kitchen for an evening meal, based on Tripadvisor reviews and ratings. Simply presented and unassuming premises, a short walk from the Cathedral and town centre. Staff were friendly and welcoming, the food was well presented and very tasty. Had an excellent lamb dish in particular, stunning rich deep flavours.

The food at the Gurkha Kitchen is superb and the service is too: friendly and efficient. Its location is inauspicious - nestled between two main roads, an estate agent and the back end of an old folks’ home - but once inside, it's easy to forget. The welcome is friendly, but not "hey! I'm your new best friend" friendly, which... More

Living around the corner from the Gurkha Kitchen, we don't visit as often as we might. That's a big mistake as the food is really very good.

Although we were sat by the door, our experience on our visit was very good. We got there after reserving a table over the phone just 30 minutes before arrival at 7 PM. By 7:30 PM the place was full, and we could tell why. The food was plentiful, hot and tasty. Well presented and not too long coming. Look... More

As a visitor from our of town I was treated to a meal at this restaurant this evening by my hosts. Really impressed. Good food. Plenty of it. Also presented imaginatively. I had the chicken shashlik which was one of the best I've ever had - served with delicious yoghurt sauce and balsamic vinegar. Yum! Would definitely return when I'm... More
