This is a nice friendly community-run pub. The beer selection has improved recently, and it's good value, but it's a shame that the food isn't better. It seems to be mostly pre-prepared fare with overcooked veg. That said, last time we had a Sunday roast there it was good. It has a nice beer garden so worth a visit on... More

Walking in the area and took a detour for some food and drink. 3 local beers on offer. Only had a baguette to eat, but it was good value and well presented. Staff all friendly. Would certainly visit another time.

Called in for a family meal on Saturday evening, sat in the lovely beer garden. The food was fantastic, lovely quality steak. All five meals were delicious. Despite the fact the kitchen was not open when we arrived the chef was more than happy to cook for us and we will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

a rare find for someone coming from London, a genuine local pub, no frills but the food was good and the people friendly, and on the night we were there the vicar was serving, not something you see every day. If your staying in the local area I can recomend this would be a good place to visit.

We came as a party of four from exeter, following a recommendation from friends and we were not disappointed, the food was home cooked and fresh, the fish was delicious and the real ale was well kept crisp and clear. A very enjoyable evening was had by all, will definitely return. We wish you continued success on your community venture.
