Called in for a family meal on Saturday evening, sat in the lovely beer garden. The food was fantastic, lovely quality steak. All five meals were delicious. Despite the fact the kitchen was not open when we arrived the chef was more than happy to cook for us and we will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

a rare find for someone coming from London, a genuine local pub, no frills but the food was good and the people friendly, and on the night we were there the vicar was serving, not something you see every day. If your staying in the local area I can recomend this would be a good place to visit.

We have just moved to this village and are very pleased that the local pub do a cracking Sunday lunch. Small friendly pub with a lovely beer garden and plenty of parking.

We came as a party of four from exeter, following a recommendation from friends and we were not disappointed, the food was home cooked and fresh, the fish was delicious and the real ale was well kept crisp and clear. A very enjoyable evening was had by all, will definitely return. We wish you continued success on your community venture.

We were lured in a the premise of a "Fish Special" we are still trying to work out what the "Special" was? It was very disappointing, we started with some garlic mushrooms which were perfectly adequate with a nice little salad on the side. Two of the party shared some garlic bread which was disgraceful and flaccid and bore no... More

Popped in on a very cold day, quickly served with my choice of huge Yorkshire pud filled with mash and gravy and beef that melted in your mouth - no need to use a knife here! Lovely to sit near a very warm log burner, heat at its best. Excellent value and great to be in a real olde worlde... More
