Thursday night fish and chips

Nipped down the local pub for tea and had a very enjoyable meal. 2 meals and 2 pints of cider for £20 - BARGAIN. Excellent value, excellent service. Thankyou - nicest fish and chips I have had in a while :)

What a lovely landlord! He entertained the kids & the parents with a game of Frustration. The food was amazing. I had he giant Yorkshire pudding with sausages. I would go back tomorrow if I could! 😃

This is a nice friendly community-run pub. The beer selection has improved recently, and it's good value, but it's a shame that the food isn't better. It seems to be mostly pre-prepared fare with overcooked veg. That said, last time we had a Sunday roast there it was good. It has a nice beer garden so worth a visit on... More

Walking in the area and took a detour for some food and drink. 3 local beers on offer. Only had a baguette to eat, but it was good value and well presented. Staff all friendly. Would certainly visit another time.

Called in for a family meal on Saturday evening, sat in the lovely beer garden. The food was fantastic, lovely quality steak. All five meals were delicious. Despite the fact the kitchen was not open when we arrived the chef was more than happy to cook for us and we will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

Lovely quaint pub with character we return too each year when we are in Devon. Staff friendly. Owners dog friendly! Food excellent. Proper grub better than pub standard. Portions good. Looking forward to our next roast their!

a rare find for someone coming from London, a genuine local pub, no frills but the food was good and the people friendly, and on the night we were there the vicar was serving, not something you see every day. If your staying in the local area I can recomend this would be a good place to visit.
