Last week i ate in buffet city with a friend. We have both eaten here many times and enjoyed it but on the last few occasions it has got worse, with last week being the last time i will ever eat there. There was a couple of problems with the food first, very pink chicken, duck very dry and a... More

Buffet city is not the plushest or poshest of restaurants. It is a massive buffet including plenty of king prawns in the eve (but not always during the day). It is usually really busy, meaning that the food is refreshed frequently. Drinks are very reasonable indeed. There is usually something being cooked fresh to order. Either noodle soup/ dim sum/... Very average food, not very hot and all looking a bit of a mess. Only went because the near by Wetherspoon's kitchen was closed and we needed a quick lunch. All you can eat Chinese food including desert with a drink £7.90. So I can't really complain, you get what you pay for. It was clean and the staff friendly,... More

First visit was a very pleasant surprise. Excellent quality and value for money. We called in for a mid afternoon late lunch on a Friday and had an as much as you can eat deal for £6.50. We were not expecting much from a serve yourself set up but this is the way to try out all those dishes you... More

When in the area always head here, fair price for fair food. As others have said, you get what you pay for, but compared to other buffet, this gives a lot more variety. Dad who does not like Chinese will eat the curry. Which allows my partner and me able to eat there, and try dishes we probably wouldn't touch.... More

The rules for this restaurant were very clear. When i went there last night, the food was very good, it is what it is, a low price all you can eat chinese buffet. I pretty much ate my own body weight for a tenner, some items on the menu were better than others, but thats a simple matter of taste.... More

When I think back to what I normally spend on a Chinese meal at a restaurant, the Buffet City was a revelation and showed that you can still find great Chinese food at bargain prices. You have to go the length of Exeter's main shopping street, heading West and cross over North and South street before dipping down to find... More

When shopping in Exeter, there is no better place to have lunch. Always good value for money, I have never known any waiting time, and always a really good range of dishes, including deserts. I always enjoy a buffet, in any town that I am in, but this is one of the best for value/variety
