We visited this excellent pub 3 times during our recent holiday in the Teign Valley. The first was for a drink on the day we arrived and to check out the place with a view to eating there. I was immediately struck by how friendly and helpful the staff were and was tempted by the menu. We sat in the... More

We chose starters each after much deliberation from the excellent choice on the specials board - goats cheese creme brulee and monk fish with chorizo, two mains again from the brilliant specials board, very hard to choose - local venison and line caught sea bass plus a cheeseboard to share which was the only disappointing meal as cheeses were very... We happened to be staying a mile or so away from this pub so it defaulted as our local for the short break. We seriously lucked out. The bar staff were friendly and welcoming, with excellent service through out the night. The menu, whilst not cheap was perfectly priced for the quality and presentation of the food. The seating area... More

If you decide to miss this place out, you will be kicking yourself. I took my mum here for mothering sunday and the food was delicious. For my boyfriends birthday I was trying to find somewhere where he hadn't been before and remembered this little jem. It maybe out the way but it's definitely worth the drive. On both occasions... This is now a real favourite of ours. Whether simply to pop in and enjoy a drink, homemade bar snack or a wonderful 3 course dinner, the service and food is consistently great. Very attentive and friendly staff ensure a great time here. Booking a must, as others appear to share our thoughts.

We have visited the Manor for the set lunch twice now, both times excellent. Well prepared, generous portions, top quality and excellent presentation. Helpful staff, nice sunny beer garden and really good value. Recommended!

found this little gem on trip advisor so thought it was worth giving a go and we were not disappointed. We were made to feel very welcome from the minute we got there and nothing was too much trouble. We booked on a wednesday evening and within 20 minutes of our arrival the place was full so would definitely recommend... More

Had a meal here one lunchtime, and the service was exceptional. We sat upstairs as the bar area was full, but the atmosphere was still good. The menu was very varied, got a chance to try John Dory which was superb and very reasonably priced. A very minor niggle in that we ordered venison and this was more well cooked... More
