Great value and good surroundings

I have visited hear on quite a few occasions and not yet been disappointed. Situated just on the edge of the town centre it is large with plenty character and also unusually for Wetherspoons has a car park. Be aware that this is a very popular place and can sometimes be difficult to get seating to... read more

Good typical wetherspoons so you know what to expect. This place gets crazy busy in the summer or when the sun comes out so get there early. Queues can be long and painful as service is quite slow.

We have tried most of the Wetherspoon's pubs in Devon but this is our favourite. Being situated out on the city boundary it is ideally placed for us travelling home to Braunton. There are many bars and places in which to eat, from cosy and snug to wide open plan areas. Our favourite is the Orangery which is light and... More

Visited today with family for a meal. Firstly they no longer do the Sunday roast! Ordered 3 burgers and then after a longer than usual wait mine arrived. With a thick layer of hard charcoal on the bottom. Took it back to the bar who said they would get a new one. Asked for compensation which was given but then... More

I went with a group of friends and we had a room booked it is such a large pub. As my other review of wetherspoons in Exeter said the food, the beer, the staff and the service were all top class.

Visited the imperial for lunch on Tuesday. The place was rather quiet, we ordered drinks and food. I ordered the gourmet chicken burger and my partner ordered the chicken and rib combo. The food arrived soon after and I immediately noticed my chicken looked anaemic! I tried the chicken and it was luke warm, I didn't eat anymore and put... More

We had two meals here during our time in Exeter: dinner and breakfast. Both were good and the characterful surroundings add to the experience. As it was a Friday evening, we all had fish suppers from the Fish Friday special menu, which offered really good value and included a drink, so we tried some of the local beers. It was... More

Wetherspoons is always a safe option for pub grub but this one doesn't disappoint, plus its an interesting building to be in (or to look at if you sit outside!). Food is good , standard Spoons .. small car park though. Not Really big enough for the size of establishment

Good food for the price. No frills but very acceptable. Friendly service. Extensive menu. Concept works if you don't mind standing in line to order.
