We choose this restaurant to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. Lovely ambiance, quaint and charming. It was obviously a busy night with 2 waitresses striving to look after all the tables so service was a little erratic. Our starters, Scallops for me and the cheese in pastry for my husband was delicious. Then came our main courses; oh dear what a... More

Nice little restaurant hidden away in Exeter. The food was really well cooked and very tasty, the portion sizes were excellent and the service was efficient but not rushed. Really a very enjoyable experience.

My husband and I recently stayed in Exeter for a two night mini break. After eating at our hotel on our first night, we wanted to try somewhere different on our second. We found The Conservatory after looking at reviews for local restaurants on trip advisor, and we are so glad we did. This restaurant is a hidden gem, you... More

Booked a table for 6.45pm and took advantage of the early bird offer which makes this place unbelievable value. The whole place is maazing, a great dining experience. Best in Exeter? In my opinion, yes!

We have been trying to get a table at the Conservatory for a while now and booked enough in advance to get a table for our wedding anniversary. I had the brie and onion starter which was ok but was a bit bland, my husband had the duck which was obviously prepped and plated in advance as was all really... More

Wow what a find big thanks to reviewers on Tripadvisor. My husband and I wanted to celebrate our 25th Silver Wedding Anniversary somewhere really special. From entering this beautiful restaurant it was so special. My husband and I had a meal here for our wedding anniversary. It was wonderful in every way! The service was excellent and the food was extremely good. When we arrived I was worried as it's on a street that looks a bit rough but when you enter you totally forget all of that! I can't rate this place enough... More

We found this restaurant by looking at restaurants in Exeter on Google as we were there for one evening and don't know the city's restaurants very well. Even on a Friday we managed to get a table fairly easily. The outside is fairly unprepossessing and then bemusing when you go inside as you have to go down some stairs and... More

Excellent food, well cooked and quite upmarket. We unfortunately had noisy neighbours at our table, but there's not much the restaurant can do about that. The only criticism is that the desserts were too big. Could'nt eat all mine

This restaurant is an absolute jewell in Exeter's crown. I have eaten here several times and the food is always perfectly cooked with a fabulous wine list to accompany the spectacular delights on the plate. The last time we went I ordered the braised beef and horseradish mash and my partner had the monkfish. Both were superb and the stick toffee... More
