For a taste of the Mediterranean without leaving the West Country look no further than Exeter’s The Conservatory. With huge windows obscured by white blinds, tall exotic plants and Swedish-meets-French countryside painted furniture you almost feel it would be a shame to call in after sunset. But come in for dinner and you’ll find yourself in an intimate and romantic setting perfect for that relaxed dinner to help you forget about bills, work and worries. Sail away on a culinary cruise through Europe as the menu takes you from Britain via France and in to Italy and beyond with plenty of local ingredients to keep the flavours fresh and delicious.

Four of us visiting Exeter for the weekend and we had a really fabulous experience on Saturday evening dining at The Conservatory, the food really was of the highest standard and served by really friendly staff. Can really recommend eating here, along with the food they had a really nice selection of fine wines at very good prices. Now on... More

Called in for lunch on Friday after wandering around Exeter looking for inspiration. A real gem in every way. Situated across different levels a warm welcome from friendly staff and the food was fantastic. Beautifully presented and very tasty.

This was my 2nd visit to the restaurant and after such amazing food the first time I was tempted to order the same dishes, however my sense of adventure enticed me to try something different! I can confidently say that every dish I have tasted here (which includes what my boyfriend ordered) is exquisite. This place is an absolute gem... More

My partner and I were looking for a local restaurant to eat in during our stay in Exeter. We had heard of The Conservatory from a friend who had visited earlier this year and they raved about it. We decided to go and sample the food and we were blown away by how good the food was. It was actually... More

I have been to this lovely restaurant three times this year and every time the food has been amazing! The restaurant itself is very cute and nicely decorated with a relaxed atmosphere, and the staff are very friendly and welcoming and are always on hand to help with anything. The wine selection is very good as well. The food is... More

Conservatory is a little restaurant in the city center that serves really good food and offers nice celection of wines. We had scalops for starters, steak and fish for the mains. Both were great! Tried Devon white wine and were surprised by its quality. Very crispy light white. I think it's a good place if you are looking for good... More

We and our friends hadn't been for a while, but still the same.. excellent as usual. Kind caring staff who had no hesitation is helping me with my very difficult dietary needs. Nothing to much trouble. Both starters and mail meals were enjoyed by all. We ate at the early bird session midweek but still a nice ambience with plenty... More

We visited the Conservatory for a special occasion. It was a busy Saturday evening and the restaurant was pretty full. The restaurant is a quirky sort of place - you enter past the coffee machine, go down then up some stairs then (in our case) back down to our table. This gives it an intimacy which I found rather pleasant.... More
