We chose this restaurant based on reputation and we were not disappointed. It was a quiet night but the food was great and the service perfect.

Sad turn of events going out in a low carb no alcohol (fad) January. But it being my birthday we felt a nice fish restaurant would hit the mark. What a find! Great romantic atmosphere for myself and my wife. Service was exceptional, friendly helpful and there just when you wanted. Lovely wine list well thought through such a shame... More

I took my sister-in-law here last night for her 40th birthday. I had made the booking online and put on it that this was the occasion and when we arrived there were sprinkles on the table and when the truffles came at the end of the meal some chocolate writing and a candle. Not massive gestures but made my sister-in-law... More

My went between Christmas and New year. The food was delicious and the hostess was very welcoming. I would recommend this place to anyone. It's just a shame we live 120 miles away. Will definitely be back!

I've been in Exeter quite a few years now and have not come across this restaurant before. I was the first to attend for our Christmas party and Angela was extremely attentive and chatty. The decoration was wonderful and the place spotless, warm and intimate. Everything was taken care of for us on arrival and throughout the meal - I... More

We had a really excellent evening in Angel's. We had our 9 month old grandson with us and, despite the fact he is really well behaved and good natured, we were concerned he may be disruptive. We were made to feel really welcome and the food and service were just first class. We would have no hesitation in returning if... More

A lot of lovely locally sourced fish with excellent service, amuse bouche, fresh baked bread etc as well as wine and beer finished with an excellent dessert. Fish is pricey but portions generous and hence appropriately to scale and prepared and served very well.

After coming highly recommended I was disappointed with this restaurant. The restaurant itself although small is quaint and warm. The food was well presented but the taste very ordinary and did not meet our expectations considering the amount of money we parted with for the experience. I had tasteless beef and my partner a trio of local fish comprising of... More

Locally sourced ingredients, good service, helpful but not intrusive. what i like about restaurants like this is that you can sense the owners have taste and a love of food. it's reflected in the dishes which hint at high end but remain filling and above all tasty. house wine went perfectly with the monkfish. cosy vibe of the restaurant reflects...
