Cool cafe

Delicious food. Great service. Quirky place. Children loved the fact that the cafe was straddled on 2 streets. One street upstairs and another downstairs. They found this mind boggling!! Anyway we really enjoyed our visit and huge choice of food.

So there we were on Sunday morning, queuing outside at alf resco, just an ordinary family of 4, then a huge group stopped outside and decided to queue opposite, starting their own queue! Then others started joining that queue asking the waitress 'wheres the end of the queue?!' We simply could not be bothered with the stress of it, left... More

The atmosphere that is generated in this unique venue has to be experienced to have any appreciation. There were no tables available for my wife & I when we arrived (had not booked) - another customer with a reserved table offered that we could sit with them. Fantastic food, customers and service in a really nice environment

Great food and great staff... All food is fresh and the sausages are awesome...also best whole meal toast... But the toilets smell of stale urine... Give the toilets a clean and the place is top notch!

Popped in for breakfast one morning and enjoyed a busy vibrant little restaurant. The service and food were both excellent. We could not have wished for anything better also good value for money. Would recommend to other visitors to Dartmouth. Les and Gill Fleming

Always liked this place and have visited many times. It was music festival but this place always has thrived on busyness. you will have to queue unless you're a large group & are able to book. The staff are great. Enthusiastic & manically busy. This time (& we went on 2 consecutive mornings) it was a tad disappointing. First day... More

Relaxed atmosphere, even though it is generally packed. Quality of food is always on point and staff are friendly.

We have been promising to visit for an early breakfast for ages and finally made it yesterday for about 0720. Al's Big Breakfast is all a proper Full English should be and then some! With an additional 2 slices of toast - I actually couldn't manage it all. Food freshly cooked (you can see the chef doing it - although... More

Relaxed, friendly but efficient service; enormous portions; interestingly varied menu THE place for breakfast / brunch in Dartmouth. Especially love the made-to-order smoothies - which are healthy enough to almost make up for a decidedly unhealthy fry-up!

Absolutely wonderful full British breakfasts in a lovely, cosy atmosphere! It's a great meeting place to catch up with friends and meet locals. Dog friendly too 😊
