Alfs serve the BEST breakfast and coffee in the Dartmouth area

We love to meet for a family breakfast at Alf Recos. The breakfast ,or indeed lunch, coffee etc, never fails to be 5 star.A lovely relaxed atmosphere ....reminds me very much of the surf cafes in Australia. It was wonderful to have such a wonderful doggy welcome, especially as hardly anywhere in Dartmouth allows dogs in. Our little springer got her own sausage! Little things like that will get the loyal customers coming back!

Spent New Year in Dartmouth and went here with friends for breakfast. What a great cafe with great food. We could even bring the dog in which was nice. Portions were big and having unlimited toast helped place the morning away and saved on lunch. Our visit was a pleasure :)

Great atmosphere and delicious breakfast and coffee and Orange juice from on site juicer! Sometimes can be hard to get a table on festival weekends etc, but worth trying. Always local produce where possible. A must for a weekend away in Dartmouth.

We live reasonably locally and have walked by this place a number of times but have never gone in. This was clearly a mistake as we popped in for a light lunch today which was excellent. We had the mushrooms in creamy garlic sauce on toast which were to die for. Great latte & mint tea also. Lots of other... More

My friends and I chose this place due to the good reviews and high placing on TA. We were fully expecting that the cafe would be busy and that we would have to wait. It was and we certainly did. We not only had to wait to be seated outside for about 20 mins (fair enough though if there are... More

always our 1st port of call when we visit Dartmouth, breakfasts are legendary, lunches are fantastic! Sometimes you have to queue in the busier periods - but it's worth it! Dogs very welcome, and they get a sausage to munch on as well!

We visited last weekend and enjoyed two nights in the rooms above Alfrescos. The room was furnished to a good standard although mattress could probably do with being replaced soon, it was spotlessly clean and the staff were all lovely and welcoming. The breakfasts were delicious and The home made christmas marmalade is delicious and I'd advice you to snap... More

Wow ! Great welcome ,and fabulous service and food. Try the BLT which was superb as was the cinnamon toast. My partner was really enjoying the full English - but overall just excellent in all ways.

I will always love the place. One minus is a waiting time as it was ridiculous to wait 40 mins to be served a coffee. But still worth it. Love it. And Spanish guitar on Sunday morning .. ....
