Wonderful coffee, super staff

I dropped in for a coffee, forgetting I had used all my cash on the ferry, then the car park; they allowed me to pop off to the bank rather than pay the levy to use a card for a low value sale. I must look trust worthy! The coffee and pastry were great and the café felt comfortable/ Give... read more

A great breakfast for us all. Quirky atmosphere and good service. Very accommodating for children. Recommended. (my eggs were hard- only critism!! They were quickly replaced!)

This is the first time we have been to Alf Resco's and couldnt fault the breakfast. We all had the full breakfast which was great and not at all greasy like some places. We loved the vast selection of preserves and the coffee is great. Looking forward to going again on our next visit to Dartmouth

This was our second visit to this quirky little restaurant as we visited a couple of years ago with friends. On this visit, despite being packed, with a lot of locals I think as Dartmouth was pretty empty due to the weather, the service was great the food was very nice and if you are a tea lover, you get... Just come back from a weekend staying at "the flat" above Cafe Alf Resco and had a great time. The flat is a very quirky place with lots of knick-knacks decorating the room. Everything you need for a stay is provided including oven, fridge, hob, microwave, all utensils, bed linen, tv, stereo, games, books etc. The bed was really comfortable... More

Every time we visit Dartmouth we have at least one breakfast in Alfs, it is amazing every time, our trip to Dartmouth would be disappointing if we didn't have our Alfs Breakfast. Definitely worth recommending. At busy times you may have to wait for free table but it is always worth it!!!

Without Alfs dartmouth would not be Dartmouth. It is a local and visitor institution for a great breakfast in unique surroundings (an old coal hole for ships I believe!!!). However the attentive staff and the service by first name make for a great breakfast experience that cannot be experienced anywhere else. Even the sailors Pilto guide for the south west... More

This was a wonderful experience, we were welcomed into the cafe where we then placed our order. We had an open cheese and red onion chutney sandwhich. Which was absolutely delicious. If you;re ever in the asrea, pop into Cafe Alf Resco!!

The atmosphere and food combined makes this a must for a cheeky breakfast, brunch or lunch. Portions are very generous. And if you're lucky you will get live music as a free add-on.

First time I have been to this cafe, last Sunday. How would I describe it????? It feels like something that was set up I the 60s or 70s and has not changed since the day it has opened. It has a bohemian hippy kind of feel to it if you like that kind of thing. It was very busy when... More
