Arrived in Dartmouth at 8 am after 4 hour journey - tired and hungry. Visited many times and it always lifts one up - great ambience, great food, fair prices. We will be back!

Excellent breakfast for various people. The bacon is really salty so order extra water. But the smoothies and kids breakfast are great. You have to queue bit but worth it.

Always had great breakfasts here. Really tasty bacon and eggs and the freshly squeezed OJ is lovely too. Thoroughly recommend.

We had a booking but this just gets you a table. You have to queue up for food which is then delivered by the staff. Good selection, tasty food and a good atmosphere. I would say rough and ready but that is the place, the food is better than that. I don't rate their coffee, sorry.

after moving to the area in last couple of months we decided to try out lunch here- it took ages for us to place our order and then we had drunk all our drinks long before our food arrived. I did query about whether they may have misplaced our order but was told quite abruptly that we would need to... More

You may have to queue for a table but I think it's worth the wait. The decor is wooden and basic and it all feels a bit dark but once your eyes adjust you'll settle into the cosy and unpretentious decor! Service is quite quick and of course the food is just great. Set us up for the entire day... More

Great vibe, easy going and fantastic service. Nice menu and good sized portions. The only suggestion is to have more variety of eggs and healthier options otherwise carb heavy. We had scrambled eggs with smoked salmon (just a little bot of salmon unfortunately), toasts with jam (butter on toast was a bit salty to my liking), cinnamon toast which was... More

If you are EVER in the area you must try this place. We were visiting staying in Dartmouth on holiday and once we had found Alf's there was nowhere else to breakfast.!!! The alf's breakfast is amazing all cooked fresh and supplied locally for the most part. Our son was most impressed with the fresh orange juice slush . We... More

This place was just great. We queued to get in, it seems it's always busy. The kids were provided with colouring (fingers crossed for the crab colouring comp!) when we got our table. They were also encouraged to take part in the crab throwing & guess the sweets in the jar, so that kept them quiet & entertained for the... More

First visited here last week when awake before everyone else and went in search of fresh coffee. I ended up staying for scrambled gags with smoked salmon. Took the family earlier this week and tried the breakfast which comes with lovely buttered toast. Went back today and my teenager enjoyed a banana milk shake which was made from milk fresh... More
