After my scathing review at the 'winking prawn' yesterday... That is how to do breakfast properly.. Fresh orange juice, smoothies- good choices, welcomed in, great atmosphere. Recommend to all.

Turning up at Alf Rescos is like arriving at an inviting, warm, friendly party with great ambience and atmosphere! The cafe is taverna style, busy but relaxing and a fantastic place to meet friends, spend a relaxing hour or two, eat great local food either breakfast, brunch or lunch, or drinking perfect coffee, tea, smoothies and milkshakes. The homemade soups... More

We have been visiting Alfs since it's opening 20 years ago and we still love it. Great breakfast and coffees with a unique setting and atmosphere. There is a reason it's so popular! Would highly recommend.

On holiday in Dartmouth we picked up the Saturday papers (an effort these days as they seem to weigh as much as a toddler) before toddling out and about in search of breakfast. We struck gold with Alf Resco's and, judging by the constant flow of folks in search of sustenance, many others share this opinion. Only 8:30 am and... More

This is a great place to stop for breakfast - very tasty and you can pick and choose as you wish... highly recommended (I wish it more local, as I would visit often).

Came here as recommended by someone in Exeter who was on a roadshow collecting for Battersea Dogs Home. As we walked in we were asked by a lovely girl serving whether our dog wanted a sausage and she brought one over all chopped up in a little dish for her. There were also dog bowls with water on the floor.... More

Sat outside in what felt like a grandparent's garden complete with ladder and dodgy furniture. Paid restaurant prices for almost self service. Granola was a small portion and had to ask for milk. Fry up was your average fayre but the fresh orange and hogs pudding were delicious.

From the moment we stepped into Alfs we were greated by the very friendly and helpful staff, who brought our dog a sausage, and our baby some books to look at, it was busy, with a lovely buzzy atmosphere, I ordered the haloumi and squash salad, my hubby had the homity pie and baby had scrambled eggs, which the waitress...
