Freshly fried Haddock in a crispy batter - perfect. Chips were piping hot and delicious. Medium size portions of both (more than adequate) just over a fiver. Will be using The Frying Pan on future visits!

We have visited this fish and chip shop before and have had nice fish and chips (I wouldn't call this a restaurant, it is a fish and chip shop with a few tables). However we went there on Sat Sept 21, sat down at one of the tables and waited...and waited...and waited. After about 10 mins the young assistant said... More

Only ventured over to this place based on previous reviews and was utterly disappointed. Having regularly savoured exceptional frayed fish in Grimsby town, it looked like I may have been in for a treat, with my family. Although the chips wee indeed fresh and not frozen, were still mediocre just the same. As for the fish...what a massacre!! All flavour... More

Been here many times. Food never disappoints. Good sized portions. A real traditional chippy with limited seating inside around small tables - all adds to the atmosphere. Much cheaper than the cafes and restaurants on the main streets in Dartmouth. This chippy is tucked away in a side street behind the cinema.

Dry manky chips and sausage. Such small portions. Owner was miserable with his staff. Will not be going back. Expensive too.

Great chip, great fish, freshly cooked but friendly staff. A gem tucked away in a side street of Dartmouth

We chose to eat in the small seated area. It's pretty snug to sit 4 people on the tables, so if there's more than two of you it might be better to get takeaway. The place is fundamentally a takeaway chippy anyway. The food was very good. The chips are very tasty and not all gooey and greasy. Properly cooked!... More

We enjoyed a meal here after reading the reviews on trip advisor. We ate in. Not fancy just good basic fish and chips. Seemed very popular for take aways too.

Worth travelling for. Hidden away in a side street, but definitely worth the hunt. Haddock cooked to perfection, and "proper" chips. Good value too. Pretty sure I'm going to become a regular customer - and it's a 60 mile round trip for me.
