Being in Dartmouth for the weekend and noticing some reviews we strolled up to here for a pint each. Having collected the drinks from the bar we looked around for a snack only as we had had a large breakfast and were expecting dinner. Admittedly it was only a sandwich but what followed was the worst cheese and onion sandwich... More

when you use the higher ferry to cross over to Darthmond this is the pub which welcomes you first. We like their location and outdoor seating and had returned for our dinner. Watching ferries was great too

A regular watering hole when we are in Dartmouth and up until now have been delighted with this eatery but new serving staff left us feeling most unwelcome. The four of us arrived at 6.30pm to guarantee outside seating on this lovely evening, ordered three starters and four mains. 20 minutes later three servers carrying seven dishes arrived at our... A good range of fish and other typical pub food. We sat on the deck overlooking the river and the ferry which was great on a summer evening. Service was a little slow but we weren't in a rush. All four meals were reasonably good for a pub. Ordering a little quirky in that you get food at one bar... More

Stopped for cream tea and drinks for the kids (who didn't want a cream tea!!!???). Sat next to the jetty and watched the world go buy. Tea, lemonade and hot chocolate (that my son says was wonderful). We had four warm scones and plenty of jam and cream. All served with a smile, albeit in a slightly bizarre order. Definitely... More

I had the Cajun Chicken Baguette with a side of chips and my partner had the main course scallops with garlic and chorizo.... We had a couple of beers by the river, then opted to eat inside as their were a few low flying seagulls. We were very fortunate to get a table in the main bar even though the... More

We used this pub just once during a 2 night stay in Dartmouth, and would certainly go there again. It was very busy and the staff were certainly earning their keep but we quite liked the buzz and they seemed to be running a pretty efficient system. As it is it's a nice pub, and with roof terrace and "out... More

Fantastic food, lovely atmosphere and most importantly they are welcoming towards children. They have a good selection on the kids menu, and the staff made them feel very important
