Set alongside the beautiful river dart in the estuary at Dartmouth, The Floating Bridge is the latest addition to the Quality Inns portfolio. When on your Devon holiday, be sure to visit this quaint old fashioned pub. Enjoy the warm atmosphere in the bar or restaurant, or why not sit by the river and watch the boats in the Marina or the Higher Ferry transporting the cars to Kingswear. Relax with a glass of wine or Pimm's, why not try the fresh crab salad!

We expected the pub to be quiet at this time of the year but to our surprise it was busy which gave it more atmosphere. The barman was really good and the service was great but the best was the belly pork. Always something to see with the river and ferry just outside the window. Good wine list.

My partners birthday so went for an evening meal last Monday. We booked and sat in the restaurant which is a separate area to the main bar. Great service from all staff and a lovely welcome. Food was outstanding and a good sized portion. Well priced considering my previous experiences in Dartmouth!!! We shall return with friends later on in... More

A half term break in Dartmouth with the family. We visited as an 8 to which staff were highly accommodating at last minute request and then again as a 3 with our little one. A lovely atmosphere and really fantastic food every time. Great fish and chips also had on the way home!!! Still feeling full now!!!!!

Spent half term in Dartmouth and ate out every night. Floating bridge has been our favourite by far- two evening meals and lunch. Ate from the specials board on our first visit which was well priced and delicious. Chose from the tapas and also had fish and chips. All superb. Will be recommending and returning in the summer (spotted benches... More

My wife is gluten-intolerant, so we were limited in where we could eat. While the menu had no GF options specifically, we were able to confirm that particular dishes were GF, and the waiting staff were clued in enough to be able to warn that the chips were prepared in the same oil as battered fish, so may be contaminated,... An excellent place to watch the world go by on a warm summers Day in Dartmouth. Located just by the Higher Ferry it has generous outside seating and a lovley roof terrace (if you can get a seat). I prefer Lunch to Dinner here as there is a good range depending what you are in the mood for.

Delicious food the mussels in cream and chilli are fantastic and the burgers excellent. Very friendly efficient staff with a lovely warm modern atmosphere especially with the roaring log fire. We would recommend this restaurant and if you are a big party would suggest you book as they are popular. We were on a short break and ate twice here... More

Very good food and friendly service. The staff were very friendly and efficient, and menu works really well for families with lots of starters /tapas style dishes that you could have as mains. If you have the cod and chips only choose large if you are very hungry!

Even on a chilly January evening the welcome at The Floating Bridge was warm and friendly. The service was excellent and the menu is good. We are now looking forward to the summer when we can take the upper ferry across the Dart and end enjoy a drink at one of the well placed tables right by the ferry slipway.... More
