Description: Set alongside the beautiful river dart in the estuary at Dartmouth, The Floating Bridge is the latest addition to the Quality Inns portfolio. When on your Devon holiday, be sure to visit this quaint old fashioned pub. Enjoy the warm atmosphere in the bar or restaurant, or why not sit by the river and watch the boats in the Marina or the Higher Ferry transporting the cars to Kingswear. Relax with a glass of wine or Pimm's, why not try the fresh crab salad!

Enjoyed a fine Sunday evening dinner in The Floating Bridge Inn. Even though it was a busy service both the waiting staff and the quality of the food were good. This is a popular place in Dartmouth and I can happily recommend it for a fine pub meal. The wines are good too and well-priced.

we went on New Year's Day, there were 11 in total including one child and one dog. The pub were very accommodating and we were rewarded with a meal to remember. We had the pork belly which was to die for. I also had the Brie to start which was an enormous portion but so delicious. Children's food was excellent... More

New Years day dawned as a bleak one this year, but in need of some exercise we wrapped up and ventured out ... the Floating Bridge looked wonderfully inviting so we stopped for a glass of wine and a bite to eat for lunch ... the chilli was one of the best I have ever tasted and the mushroom stroganoff... During a weeks stay in Dartmouth we stopped here each evening for an early evening drink. The pub offers a pleasant atmosphere with very attentive staff. They served an excellent pint of Doombar and we shall certainly visit again when we return to Dartmouth next year.

My family spent a couple of hours here at the end of December. We arrived at about 5.30pm and according to the owner the restaurant was fully booked even there wasn't a single person eating. We retired to the bar and had the medium sized cod and chips which were nice enough and reasonably priced. However I thought the drinks... More

Lovely belly of pork, very generous portions, with mushroom sauce, fresh vegetables, 3 roast potatoes and a good piece of crackling. All delicious. Dog friendly, efficient and friendly service and in a good position by the Higher Ferry.

Went to the Floating Bridge restaurant with my wife and two sons. We choose dishes from the Christmas menu which had a good variety and was excellent value. The food was beautifully presented and the service was just right. We shall certainly return and recommend the restaurant to friends.

The Floating Bridge hides its light under a bushel. Unprepossessing from the outside it is a delightful space inside. More importantly it has an exciting menu with plenty of fish and seafood choices at a reasonable cost, and Old Peculier on draught.
