A real old find

This delightful old pub is a real gem. Wooden floorboards, dark timbers and leaded windows, real old world, you can feel the seafarers drinking alongside you! A good range of drinks available and the food seemed value for money although we did not eat. Sadly, the fire looked good but being gas... read more

The food is great and the building is just beautiful! I went there with a friend and it was so good I took the whole family back. We do have a couple of 6'+ individuals that had to watch their heads when standing, but the food is great and the service staff are very cheery and kind.

Went here for a couple of drinks and an evening meal. The food was very good and the real ale was very well kept, and not all were the regulars you see everywhere else, there were only four, but it's a small pub so I wouldn't expect to see many more. The landlord was very busy but had time for... More

On a cold wet and windy evening, the Cherub, with its roaring fire, was a welcome retreat. Amiable barman, good beer...what more can you ask?

Visted on Monday night and on today at lunch time. Last nights visit was just to try the real ales on tap, as its famous for well kept and varied range. What a let down, beer choice the same as everywhere else in town, thankfully no doombar, and only four on tap, bit of a disapointmnet. Went in for lunch... More

We were served by a very cheery Landlord/Barman, made to feel very welcome. Food arrived very swiftly & was of a good pub quality. Great place for a drink or pub meal. Good choice of real ales, great choice of pub grub. Lovely experience would visit again!

Very quaint 14th. century building with a small downstairs bar offering a good selection of beers, wines and spirits. Dog friendly and you may eat here if you so wish although there are additional dining facilities available upstairs in a charming, if somewhat small restaurant, full of atmosphere with low wooden beams. We gathered that, understandably, dogs are not allowed... More

Our favourite in dartmouth. It is one of the oldest buildings with sloping floors and low beamed ceilings. Spiral staircase up to the restaurant. Good ales and friendly staff. Not to be missed.

6 Of us booked for a family 3 course meal in the room upstairs. The service was rather rude and not what we would have expected from the look of venue and cost of food. The table was set as if it was a cafe, the food was below average for the cost and there was limited pudding options. They... More
