We were a party of 8 who visited the Cherub for lunch. The food was disappointing with tasteless soup and a two slices of extremely thin brown bread but no butter. A couple of our party had the pizza kids meals but these were not good tasting either. The only half decent dish was the platter of crab/crayfish which was... More

We ordered a selection of dishes for lunch for the family and found the quality disappointing. The soup did not taste of much at all and the pizza was grossly over-sweetened.

Great beer, great food, reasonably priced and friendly staff. Felt very at home and will be back. The location is good and the building is incredible.

This is a lovely little pub in the heart of Dartmouth with a good landlord at the bar. We went for a family meal with our sister in law and her family whilst visiting them in their new home nearby. We had a table for 9 of us at the top of the building up two flights. Firstly to say... More

If you love your history , and love old pubs , the cherub inn is not to be missed, it's been kept as original as possible , although only a pub since 1966 , you would not believe it had been anything else, the building is 1380 , friendly people , great choice of beer ales or lagers , upstairs... Short menu but easy to choose from specialises in home cooking but does have fresh fish and steaks as well as interesting salads and burgers. Very attentive service throughout. Pub Happy hour is very welcome in Dartmouth where some charges for any king of drink can be outrageous.

We came here a couple of times for a drink while in Dartmouth and it became our local. We also eat here one evening. We were told the wait was about 15 minutes but within 5 minutes they came to the bar to tell us our table was available. We went for the burger which was very good - it... More
