Friendly and cosy pub

Nice pub, with reasonable food and friendly welcome. A nice refuge in St Mawes. Did not have a large lunch, but made welcome all the same.

I'm loathe to give reviews which reflect my disappointment, especially as other fellow Tripadvisors seem to have had much better. My wife and I were touring the stunningly beautiful Roseland peninsula, with its spectacular Heritage coastline, and arrived in St Mawes last Friday afternoon around 2:30pm. Spotting the sandwich board for the Victory Inn offering food we made our way... More

My wife and I stopped here after a long walk in this very beautiful part of Cornwall. This pub is tucked away up steps behind the village's shops. It has a small eating only section that provides typical pub grub,in WINTER the costs are reasonable - Sunday roast £6.95, Fish and Chips £10.We had the latter which were well presented... More

Visited for evening meal which was delicious, had the special fish dish that night, staff friendly and a good atmosphere in the pub. Well worth a visit if you're there.

Great little pub with lots if character. Nice staff and great value especially the 2 ribeye steaks for £20 on a Monday night. Excellent meal. Thanks

It is tradition that birthday lunch is taken at the Victory Inn. Fish and chips always. Travelled across from Falmouth on the ferry or King Harry Ferry,

Very friendly staff. Such a nice and warm place to thaw out. Nice drop of Doom Bar as well. And with a lovely warm open log fire.

Really enjoyed the atmosphere in The Victory Inn which is one of the oldest pubs in Cornwall. Staff were friendly enough and the place is frequented by holiday makers and locals .... The latter tend to keep themselves to themselves. Food was fairly typical pub grub at a reasonable price ( for St Mawes !!) We had the fish and... More

Very good food and real ale and friendly service. It was a pity that one visit was spoiled by a yappy dog and another by a large dog running around sniffing the tables.

this is a quaint pub which had a very friendly service, and they do what looked like lovely food. Everyone in there made us welcome, and the drinks were reasonably priced as well.
