Our party of three took the ferry over from Falmouth to St Mawes whilst on a week's holiday touring Cornwall. We called into The Watch House on Tuesday 21st July for our lunch and we were not disappointed. The service was very good and friendly, the menu was quite varied with locally caught fish as well and we had a... More

The food was delicious but overpriced for the less than generous portions. For £10 you just get a (very nice) spiced fish burger with nothing else on the plate. Similarly the mackerel fillet was extremely small and accompanied by a meagre salad. The restaurant is stylish with great views and it is a shame that the overall impression is of... More

Booked and were given a table upstairs with a great window view. The menu is not huge but includes a lot of great options. I chose fish soup followed by fish and chips and my partner had the fish cakes. The soup was beautifully served and tasted great. Then there was a long wait. Not poor service so much as... More

A fabulous meal at very reasonable prices. The shellfish curry was Michelin standard cuisine. Everyone in our party had a very high standard meal. Worth booking.

The Watch House is a lovely little restaurant overlooking the sea at St Mawes. Attention to detail is excellent, as is the interior, and it has a fantastic range of teas, homemade artisan breads, miniature scones with strawberries (as well as good strawberry jam), bakewell tart to die for and all in lovely surroundings. We will be back!

Absolutely wonderful food, a great find in St Mawes, so good we visited twice... the fish in the fish and chips was the best ever!

Great place to drop in for lunch. Very nice and helpful staff and a menu that doesn't slavishly follow something you'd get in a pub. Well worth a visit.

4 of us ate here for dinner on an annual trip to the area. We've been 3 years' running and never been disappointed. Good and sufficiently varied menu which doesn't seem to change much from year-to-year and they obviously know their stuff. Fish and chips main course is one of the best I have had anywhere. Pleasant efficient service and... More

On accent visit to St. Maws, we visited The Watch House Restaurant which had been highly recommended by our relations with whom we were staying. On arrival we were greeted by Bianca who was charming and very attentive. The menu presented a wide choice of locally sourced dishes and I decided to have the crab cakes as a started and... More
