Description: The Bean Inn was born in 2003 and its reputation has grown steadily...
The Bean Inn was born in 2003 and its reputation has grown steadily throughout the years. The restaurant is a popular choice with both tourists and locals and offers a warm intimate setting spread over 3 small dining rooms displaying local art. Our aim in the restaurant is to offer you some of the tastiest vegetarian and vegan dishes from around the world. Bringing you the best flavours means using the best quality ingredients. We therefore use local, organic and seasonal produce whenever possible. We are members of the Vegetarian Society's Food & Drinks Guild. This means that all of the ingredients that we use have been approved by The Vegetarian Society.

You know its good when meat eaters dont complain!

I am a vegetarian but my friends are not. This place was such a delight with the eccentric menu, simple dishes and locally sourced produce. I had never in my life (I am a foodie) had beetroot, bramley and dill soup, more so it tasted gorgeous. We had 4 starters and mains and it only amounted upto... read more

Excellent friendly service and food that is absolutely to die for. Even our non vegetarian friends were impressed with the wonderful tasty dishes. I would encourage any vegetarians to make this a must visit restaurant if you're in St. Ives.

This was our first visit to The Bean and to a vegetarian restaurant for that matter. My husband is not a veggie but he loved the delicious food as did I. It was great to look at a menu and know that everything was ok to eat. The food was very flavoursome, very well presented and the waitress was helpful... More

Very homely atmosphere. Pleasant staff. Nice variety of veggie dishes to choose from. Nice big portions. Walking distance from the beach. You don't have to be a vegetarian to enjoy these tasty vegetarian dishes.

Not a vegetarian, but booked to eat there as a treat for my wife who is a vegetarian. Thought the food was great and reasonably priced and did not miss meat at all and my wife really enjoyed the evening. The owner and staff were very helpful and friendly, definitely a place to visit for a pleasant evening out.

We went there for dinner as they claim to cater for kids/babies and we had our ten month old with us. Also since my wife is a vegetarian, this seemed a good treat for her. Since it is part of a B&B, the dinning room, like other reviews state, is primarily a living room of a house and it feels... More

It makes a change to be able to go to a restaurant that serves exclusively veggie food. The menu is quite small, but this is due to sourcing the seasonal ingredients, some of which are grown on site. We started with haloumi and sweet potatoes and flatbreads with chickpea and broad bean hummus. We then had stuffed sweet potato cakes... More

We have visited before and wanted to experience the bean inn again! My food was excellent but hubbies (mushroom spaghetti) was a little average... It's worth a visit though!

The food is amazing, even stalwarts of meat eaters will not miss it here. The staff could not be more helpful especially if you have any allergies that need to be catered for. Just call them on the day and the amazing Paula will give you loads of options to choose from and select ready for your evening delight. It... More
