Description: The Bean Inn was born in 2003 and its reputation has grown steadily...
The Bean Inn was born in 2003 and its reputation has grown steadily throughout the years. The restaurant is a popular choice with both tourists and locals and offers a warm intimate setting spread over 3 small dining rooms displaying local art. Our aim in the restaurant is to offer you some of the tastiest vegetarian and vegan dishes from around the world. Bringing you the best flavours means using the best quality ingredients. We therefore use local, organic and seasonal produce whenever possible. We are members of the Vegetarian Society's Food & Drinks Guild. This means that all of the ingredients that we use have been approved by The Vegetarian Society.

It makes a change to be able to go to a restaurant that serves exclusively veggie food. The menu is quite small, but this is due to sourcing the seasonal ingredients, some of which are grown on site. We started with haloumi and sweet potatoes and flatbreads with chickpea and broad bean hummus... read more

We went there for dinner as they claim to cater for kids/babies and we had our ten month old with us. Also since my wife is a vegetarian, this seemed a good treat for her. Since it is part of a B&B, the dinning room, like other reviews state, is primarily a living room of a house and it feels... More

We have visited before and wanted to experience the bean inn again! My food was excellent but hubbies (mushroom spaghetti) was a little average... It's worth a visit though!

The food is amazing, even stalwarts of meat eaters will not miss it here. The staff could not be more helpful especially if you have any allergies that need to be catered for. Just call them on the day and the amazing Paula will give you loads of options to choose from and select ready for your evening delight. It... More

I have past this resteraunt on several trips to ST Ives, and I decided on this occasion that I would pop in for an afternoon meal. I was greeted on entry by a very warm welcome from the chef, which made me feel at home straight away. The menu was full of different, unusual sounding dishes, which all looked to... More

We had a delicious meal here this evening - again! Fresh tasty food, great service, interesting menu choices, one of the restaurant rooms has intimate candle lit tables for two with cute vases of fresh daffodils and sea views! The other equally attractive room is suitable for larger groups. This is a truly lovely place to eat. Nothing is too much... More

The Bean Inn opened specially for our group of 10 busy mums away on a relaxing weekend. Only two of the group were vegetarian but all happy to try this restaurant. The people were friendly and made us feel very comfortable. The food was lovely, everyone liked what they had. The wine was good quality and overall a very nice... More

We were holidaying in Porthcurno in Cornwall in the summer of 2014 and being vegetarians we were scouring for veggie restaurants in the area. We chanced upon the Bean Inn on a day visit to St. Ives. To our joy, we had found a place which was nothing but vegetarian - much like an oasis in the desert. We were... More

As the title suggests, we had a great evening here. Ambiance, service, grub and drinks were all really top notch. I'm not a veggie myself, and my wife has pescatarian leanings, but we have heard glowing references from so many friends here in Cornwall that we felt we just had to give it a tickle. Having said that, we both... More
