The Bean Inn was born in 2003 and its reputation has grown steadily throughout the years. The restaurant is a popular choice with both tourists and locals and offers a warm intimate setting spread over 3 small dining rooms displaying local art. Our aim in the restaurant is to offer you some of the tastiest vegetarian and vegan dishes from around the world. Bringing you the best flavours means using the best quality ingredients. We therefore use local, organic and seasonal produce whenever possible. We are members of the Vegetarian Society's Food & Drinks Guild. Lovely hearty healthy food

We were holidaying in Porthcurno in Cornwall in the summer of 2014 and being vegetarians we were scouring for veggie restaurants in the area. We chanced upon the Bean Inn on a day visit to St. Ives. To our joy, we had found a place which was nothing but vegetarian - much like an oasis in the desert. We were... More

As the title suggests, we had a great evening here. Ambiance, service, grub and drinks were all really top notch. I'm not a veggie myself, and my wife has pescatarian leanings, but we have heard glowing references from so many friends here in Cornwall that we felt we just had to give it a tickle. Having said that, we both... More

I visited this restaurant and was very pleasantly surprised. The food was not only very taste and filling but also very well presented. The wine was organic and we went with the waitresses recommendation, which was spot on. I would visit this restaurant again as the menu was so good it was hard to choose and i would like to... More

We were in Cornwall with friends who are Vegans and whilst we are meat eaters it is sometimes nice to try alternative ideas. Booked in advance and they explained they had a large party at 7.00 so could we make 6.30, we actually arrived at 6.15. Really lovely reception and we were seated straight away, service was good and as... More

My wife is a veggie, so I decided to treat her to The Bean Inn, as she puts up with the usual slaughter houses I drag her to. I was a bit skeptical to start with. I mean a veggie restaurant? I was expecting bean bags, no knives and forks and baby food... I really enjoyed it! Good service, a... More

Loved this as our anniversary meal. I chose the B and B having found the Bean Inn first. Having a veggie husband I often feel he gets poor choices and mushroom risotto offered a lot, zzzz! Not here, fantastic well thought out dishes and great flavours , not to mention portions (too full for dessert!). My starter was fab, sweet... More

We are not vegetarians but decided to try the Bean Inn as we found St Ives too crowded, the service here puts many "formal" restaurants to shame. The food was interesting with taste and texture that was outstanding. The Menu is interesting and encourages you to try things that you may not normally try and then you are surprised with... More

Whenever we travel, I spend a fair amount of time researching food options before we go. My husband is vegetarian and the choice on SO many restaurant menus is pretty poor; bland and predictable. Finding a veggie restaurant is always great and when the standard is this high then it's fabulous! The restaurant is part of the B&B and as... More
