Lunch

Had grilled chicken and bacon baguette with French fries and tea for two. Not cheap but very nice food. Fast friendly services and relaxing atmosphere we really like this place to eat. Will eat here again.

We both love this place which is why we keep coming back. This time is was a quick visit to St Ives and yet again found ourselves here at Porthgwidden Cafe. The food is amazing but most of all we come here because the staff are so friendly and welcoming. They always greet you with a smile as soon as you... More

What an amazing meal - we wish we had found this restaurant earlier as we would have eaten here more, it is called a cafe so we did not realise they did evening meals. We have eaten in St Ives all week at a variety of great places however this is by far the best, the Hake special being particularly... More

I haven't been here since 2010 but it didn't disappoint. Simple but varied menu with fresh ingredients can't speak highly enough about the chowder the mussels were fresh and frankly delicious.

Just imagine sitting looking out on a beach in the morning sunshine having a breakfast either sitting inside or outside on the sun deck. The service I received was first class. All the staff showed a high level of customer service skill and a willingness to go that extra mile to give customers what they want. The food was always... More

The 5 year old in our group read 3 chapters of Stalingrad in the time it took for us to get coffee (45 minutes) Rude and unhelpful staff - we were really IGNORED for quite a long time! Despite surviving morning exercise and performing a yogic dead bug pose to indicate low blood sugar levels, our palpable need for sustenance... More

This is a really lovely restaurant, with the most amazing views, and if you are lucky to get the window sea you will not wish to leave.

Had breakfast here twice (once indoors, once out) - can't fault the full English - not expensive, but really high quality with homemade hash browns. Also had dinner here - our party had to eat outside as fully booked, and great fun - wild, misty night and whilst cold (blankets and heaters provided, but broken canopy not providing full protection),... The best meals are generally the ones we don't plan. On an uncharacteristically misty yet warm day, my friend and I decided on the spur of the moment to have a light lunch at Porthgwidden. We were welcomed and offered a choice of tables. We had smoked haddock chowder and chicken liver pate with a side order of chips. Both... More
