Saturday morning breakfast

We always visit the Porthgwidden Cafe when we visit St.Ives. We decided to pop in for breakfast during our long weekend in February. The cafe was busy but we were fortunate enough to get a seat with a view. Both my wife and I had the traditional breakfast with homemade hashbrown. It was served... read more

Ate here on our first night in St Ives and had the best meal of our week. The service and ambience of this cosy place is second to none, with an imaginative menu using locally sourced ingredients, this place is spot on. The lovely girls front of house, are warm and friendly. We returned for the fish chowder for lunch... More

Spent Friday evening there, sat in the window overlooking the beach. Great place, very casual dining, the staff are so nice.

My wife and I ate there last Sunday (8/2/15) it was very good - simple chicken baguette with salad and chips. No complaints and in fact they served the only decent chips we had whilst in St Ives the others were apalling see my other reviews. This is a very nice restaurant with excellent views over the beach and Gwithian.... More

Having had many fine meals at Porthgwidden over the years we returned last week and found the perfect light lunch (stuffed mushrooms) -so good we returned for a repeat. The extremely friendly and efficient service (thank you Joanne) complements the outstanding setting. We will definitely return on our next visit to St Ives.

Porthgwidden Beach Cafe is just one of our favourite places to eat in St Ives and we keep coming back again and again... Luckily they are open all year round which is great on a windy and cold night in January. We had a lovely roasted tomato soup with pine nuts and pesto which was delicious. Followed by the sea... My friend & I had arranged to meet another friend here in the afternoon . The two of us arrived just after 2pm. When we walked in, we were asked if we were eating lunch, we said no. We were then asked ' are you going to eat anything'. We said, we don't know yet, we may just have a... More
